Yes I make this all the time, I chop apples, oranges, pears, pineapple and coconut, add pecans and mayo with a sprinkle of sugar. We make strawberry ice cream or banana all the time. Even peach at times. I am always mixing some type of fruit with ice cream.

I love fruit salad, I make it quite often. I don't put ice cream in with it. However I do give it a little dollop of whipped cream occasionally.

I've never really had ice cream with fruit salad. I do enjoy having some fruit on top of my ice cream, but an actual fruit salad is something I always eat separately.
