In your opinion, what are the trends on our generation's workforce? Personally, I see that most are transitioning to more flexible work/ job opportunities such as here in myLot, online jobs are on the rise. There are various reasons for these. Some would say that is provides them more flexibility to enjoy their lives the way they like. Some are working part-time parents, and others are just finding avenues such this wherein they could express/ communicate themselves while earning at the same time. What's your reason?

New job opportunity are being open by today's technology. The trend is to quickly acquire the skill necessary in as short a time possible. The traditional 4-5 years college education is outmoded because of the rapid development and innovation in every field of human activity.

@stephaniesolis _K-12 is politically motivated and a stop gap remedy for the ills of our education system. Tesda is more about getting certified. It's a money maker. Consider that even domestic helpers need to get a certificate from tesda before they can work abroad..

Yes indeed Ms. Josefina, because of the technology more and more opportunities open up. I also agree with the demand in the workforce for versatility in skills however even before the allotted time and resources for acquiring these skills are often not commensurate to the capacity of an individual in a traditional setting. Thus the introduction of K to 12 here in the Philippines and other vocational offering courses such as tesda (which I have also utilized).

@stephaniesolis yeah you don't get this freedom in the office, they keep and fix the time and we have to be within that time. And we can't attend to our family members whenever they require. This is horrible.

@Jotomy as of the moment I really dread even the thought of going back to a traditional office because of the many restrictions. I understand your sentiments, all the more reasons because of our family, I'm a very family oriented person and it saddens me when I think about how much I am missing out in the family because of working in the traditional setting, and the fact that I help other people in the workplace and hardly gets anytime to personally help out in my own family.
