I am just being silly here, but I often wonder what the fish in the water "think" when boats pass over the water. Do you feel like we do when we see an airplane in the sky?
It must be the same type of sensation to notice something big "flying" over. Plus all the noise from the motors of the boats must be quite annoying and disruptive to the fish and other little critters.

Probably the first thing is to run..or swim away haha but some don't really have a thought process to leave and that is why they get caught and such

The boats may sound like Aliens are checking out them. They should go to as deep as possible. But unfortunately brave ones get caught.

They could possibly be curious as they always tend to check out the nets dropped by these USO's (Unidentified Sailing Objects)

I don't think that fish think. They may just react to the possible danger and move away from it.
