May is over, five months of year 2018 have already gone, only seven to go before the end of the year. For those who live in the northern hemisphere, June brings Summer, it's end of schools and vacation season for some. The birthstones of June are pearls and Alexandrite The flowers of this month are Rose and Honeysuckle. Some of the bizarre or special holidays of June are: June 6th National Gardening Exercise Day June 13th National Weed Your Garden Day - As one day a month would be enough! June 22nd National Chocolate Eclair Day - I have to remember this, it's a good one. June 26th Forgiveness Day - Let's do our best. Have you special plans for the month of June? May was a rainy month here, we hope for a better June. The photo is my pink honeysuckle - one of the flowers of this month.

That's a lovely photo. Most of our June will be spent in Tasmania so that will be something new and different.

Tasmania must be a fascinating Island to visit. I am sure there are beautiful places still not too much contaminated by humans. Enjoy your visit.

It's already June and for the past days it has been raining in the morning and then in the evening. Summer was short since the rainy season here has begun as predicted by the weather bureau. I now can say that i prefer summer than the rainy season. The rain can bring floods to low lying areas.

@SIMPLYD May has been a rainy month this year and this is very unusual in our country. I do not like summer a lot, it's too hot, but until the end of June we should be fine.

I love honeysuckle. I used to have outside my bedroom in the house I grew up in. Today is my uncle's birthday. Tomorrow would have been my other uncle's birthday.

Honeysuckles are so pretty. Pretty in pink! Overall, June is usually one of the best weather months of the year here. So looking forward to better weather and being out more. The Jazz festival is held at the end of the month which is always a pleasant experience!

@LadyDuck Yes, let's hope for a good June! It started off with extreme heat 36 C with the humidity factor and we might get some thunderstorms, apparently complements of Hurricane Alberto. I went out to do some errands and it was hard to endure.

I have not seen pink honeysuckle before. They are beautiful. Here we have white and yellow. I still love to sip the nectar from the flowers. The last day of school is tomorrow (8th) and my sisters birthday is on the 12th. It is going to be another busy month.

@LadyDuck Oh yes, I hope that you have lots of sunny days to come. We have a cloudy day today, which is good as the sun was so bright and strong all week long. It is already very hot and humid out, but they are calling for a cool front to come thru some time later on today.

I've heard of honeysuckles but never knew what they looked like. Beautiful! Those are all interesting days for this month. Month is a personal anniversary month for me. Today is the anniversary of the day I was discharged honorably from the Navy. June 3, is the anniversary of my high school graduation. June 9 is the anniversary of my graduation from boot camp - Navy. Other than that, Sunday I'll be celebrating my niece's high school graduation. No other celebrations this month.

No special plans for the month of June but June is when I made my come back here in mylot after a few weeks of hiatus. It's nice to be back though but I have to go through some old discussions that I missed. June 5th, today is my brother's 44th birthday and 18th is my sister's 46th. I can't believe that me and my siblings are all now in our 40s.

@toniganzon I felt as I was suddenly "OLD". I do not know why, from the 30s to the 40s there is a big difference. I want to see my niece when she will turn 40 . Those young girls now have the "Peter Pan" complex, they want to be forever 18 years old.
