My Wonderful Computer

I'm being a little sarcastic with that title. Last night when I wanted to use it, it gave me major trouble. I kept pushing the power button without any success. It remained off and unresponsive. I worried I wouldn't be able to get on here today, with the Daily Bible Study, or work on a book or do anything I normally do on the computer.
I could have gotten on myLot or the Internet with my Chromebook, which is how I watched the Awards last night, but I wouldn't be able to do anything else. When the award show got over, I unplugged the computer, hoping that would be the fix I needed, and when I plugged it back in and pushed the button, it worked. Happy day in the morning. I can work here as usual. Praise God!
I had trouble with it once before, but it took more than unplugging it to find the answer for the problem then.
How's your computer running? I really wasn't expecting problems with this computer this soon as it's only two years old, and most computers last a lot longer than that. It's also a Dell, one of the better name brands. So, I'm hoping it was really nothing to worry about.
I'm very happy it's working fine now. Thanks for reading.

I like the idea of just putting it to sleep. I'll try that.

Thank you. This computer came with Windows 10 and I like it. I'm not seeing that many updates.

I hope you have all of your books backed up so you can get to them if the computer crashes.

Mine is running well. I never close the cover directly and put the fan on my laptop.

I hope you do soon. Do you have any friends who work with computers or know them well enough to figure out what's wrong?

Much like Debs I would be calling it names as well.
I have had the same problem and I found that one of the usb I use and love is not being accepted by the computer at the moment and so I have to wait till I can get a new one.
Crikey I thought that Dell were very good ones to use.
Seems to be a general problem at the moment.
This computer is about eight years old so I cannot really complain about it.
Glad to see that you could get back online as well.
I have my little tricks though and they usually work. A.D.G. thank goodness.

You know what I reckon that the electricity has a lot to do with that kind of thing and sometimes the router itself.
I have discovered a couple of tricks today on how to but not to do with the computer itself and it was how to get the light back on in the Kitchen.
We are all geniuses sometimes areĀ“nt we?

I've been having printer problems more than computer ones. I had any HP printer hooked to me computer but also was using my husband's printer via WiFi after rearranging my computer area. I never got around to plugging mine back in and a week or so ago we lost our cable service for a few hours.
The phone came back on its own but I had too have the automatic robot reping my modem so it could work again. Ever since then the WiFi printer isn't working for me. Now I need to find the right cord that holds too the printer somewhere in my cord forest and it's a tight squeeze. Maybe I will tackle that tomorrow after church.
I also plan on using nail polish to'paint' each cord to help me find the right one easier in the future.

@just4him I think I must have left the one end plugged to my computer so once I find that I should be good. I already plugged in the power cord itself.
Edited.

My computer goes on streaks, but I really believe it's because of our Internet provider and not actually the machine.

@just4him I have to turn my power button on and off twice, to get onto the Internet. Once is a blue moon, this doesn't happen.

Hi Valerie. I am using my laptop and since internet connection is really poor, I only use my phone.

@mlgen1037 I don't know anything about hotspots. It's a lot easier to type and make fewer mistakes with a larger screen.

@just4him Thank you, Valerie. I understand. I had no choice too. Internet cannot get thru when I hotspot my laptop with my phone. Also, I still want to use my laptop as it has bigger screen and not hard for me to type and commit errors.

Sometimes when even a small glitch has hit the power source you have to do all kinds of plugging and plugging and cooling things down to get them to work.

I haven't used my computer this week much. Too annoying to type one handed on it.
