Just ignore her for now but if she is hitting below the belt, confront her, many people are pain in the butt.

@Jfronda82 well, we are all different and unique. Though she may have said a lot about you, it is better to talk about it to your husband so he will know but both of you keep your silence. The truth will always prevail and those other people she gossiped with sooner or later will find out who is who.

Sister in law, or not you need to stay your distance. People like this will lie, and deny. But long as you know how she really is. Use wisdom with what you know.

I am the type that would confront her especially if she is telling others about you. You can do it in front of her husband so he will see you are not picking a fight. You just want to know if what others are saying is true as they might be trying to start trouble.

Better to ignore this type of people. They will never accept that they are wrong. Maintain distance from her.
I think you should confront her in a calm way, but i think it is better to catch her in the act, since she may just deny it then

I would talk to her in front of your husband and brother in law and just confront her and ask why she is saying the things she is. You don't have to get confrontational with her or be nasty, but at least you will know and you will be asking in front of the others so she can't lie about it.

I'm not sure what you will do, but if it were me I would confront her. Take your witness with you.
