MEET My HUNDRED-YEAR GRANNY in the LIMELIGHT: Whoah!!!

This morning, a cousin of mine in America sent a link about the big celebration of granny. It is a hundred year with full of pride having her children and the family. I had posted a discussion about it last time and feel grateful for those who had commented. Despite not seeing her on this special occasion, I had seen her happiness in this picture. I can’t wait to see her again soon. I am pretty sure she will be happy to share her thoughts about the big celebration.
As I read the news about her, she finally revealed the secrets for her longevity in this world. That is, ‘veggies and prayers.’
“What are your elders’ secret to living longer?”
“Are they fond of eating veggies?”

@infatuatedbby One thing for sure, her mind is so sharp and cannot be denied when having a conversation. I was also surprised she still remembers all the dates of our birthdays from her children to great grandchildren.

Congrats to her.
I only know one person that lived that long. The last time I saw her she was 103, and then she moved to Texas. She said her secret was one bottle of Coca-Cola everyday. She said it had to be the glass bottle. Not cans. This was back in the 80's before plastic bottles were used.

Giving a lot of love to others and prayers also and being active like walking.
She is fantastic there unbelievable really congratulations on her day.

First of all thank you so much for sharing that with me. I am so so sorry you could not be there. I understand why and it is not fair. I know how much you love her but I am sure it will be great when you do see her. She is a lovely lady and she certainly does not look 100 years old. Thank you for sharing her secrets. I pray everyday that I will be around for my cat and she will not be left alone.

Thanks my friend. I hope my cat will be here for me and me for her. I am glad she understands the situation. I still say it was sad you could not be there but I also understand. Families are very complicated to deal with and some more so than others.

Yes, my dear friend. She can still walk without any assistance at her home. We are so blessed to have her. She does love to eat veggies and granny is a really religious woman. She prays a lot. I could still remember when we were still kiddies, she will call us to pray at 3 PM and pray the Holy Rosary.

My one grandmother, she was only 82 when she passed away. The one who is still alive is only 78. She does eat veggies and she still is very active at church. If she around in another 22 years, I will ask her to share her secrets with me.

@acrogodess That's sweet of you for doing such gesture to them. I am sure they were so happy to see you. For me, I don't see my granny that often, too. She is living in her hometown. We wanted to take good care of her, but she refused the idea. She still wanted to live in her hometown with my uncle. My younger brother usually goes there to visit her.

@Shavkat no. I don’t see her often anymore because I moved from my hometown. I saw her two weeks ago when I went to visit my mother. It was Mother’s day here in the United States and then mid May my mother celebrated her birthday so my visit was both a mother’s day gift and birthday gift. I also took my mother to the movies and to dinner when I was there

@Shellyann36 My family and I haven’t seen her with this big celebration yet. I am pretty sure you would tell story that most grannies have, the love and care. Plus, the adventure of being a grandma.
