Someone Save Me...

So, the wifey is doing her 'chores,' working on some dishes, some laundry, and tidying the house. And while this is all fine and dandy, she is also blasting the radio with the soundtrack to the original movie, "Grease."
It is driving me mad.
What's worse is when she sings along with it. It resonates through the house and I am surely wanting to pull out my hair one strand at a time.
Pulling your hair out may sound like an agonizing thing to do. But I can assure you it is less agonizing than listening to the soundtrack to "Grease."
I am quickly thinking I have some things to do myself. Like, for example, I have decided it may be time to dismantle the deck and put it all back together.
Twice.
Someone save me.

Haha, hey if Grease is what she likes to work by then I am all for it, that music can get someone motivated to clean and move. Maybe you have some yard work that needs taking care of huh. Thats probably what she is doing, she is trying to get you motivated too. LOL

This is why I do the chores when my boyfriend is not at home.

Perhaps you should go join her in one of the chorus parts and sing horribly?

@porwest Well, I honestly thought that your poor singing would discourage her!

Is there anywhere you can go to get away from that noise and her singing along to it? I hate loud noises too but my cat really hates them. Do you have earphones or ear plugs you can use when that happens? These are only suggestions I can make but going somewhere else to get away from it is good or would she turn it down so you can get peace and quiet?

I am sorry for how you are suffering and that it sounds like no solution is near. Is there another place besides a bar you can go to on the outside? Maybe take a walk. Would a walk help to clear your mind and ask her to turn down the music since it bothers you. Your wife is a good person, so talk to her and tell her how you feel if you did not already and work something out together or ask her to turn it down very low. Would turning it down very low work for you?

I'm quite sure my husband would tell you he has been in the same agony. My favorite "chore day soundtrack" happens to be Rent.

@porwest I know the feeling brother. Unfortunately its part of marriage I guess. What I will suggest is is that you learn a few of the lyrics to her favorite Grease songs and absolutely murder them until she hopefully ceases her interest. I don't however guarantee that it will work

I play guitar. I sometimes record what I play. I can murder a song like nobody's business. Maybe you are onto something.
One of my favorite past times when I have the time is to play my guitar. I write my own music, but I also like to play music that has stood the test of time. I...
