Thanks to Vanny and DJ for helping me get this one out there. One of my young friends (I'll attach a picture of her dancing) came to the preschool singing this at the top of her lungs. We realized we didn't know all of the words, so I promised her I'd "Google" them. Now we have the song memorized.
I also realized it was a song my dad used to sing to me at bedtime, so I told my young friend I'd learn it and post it on YouTube. If you have kids or grandkids, please play this for them, or send it along to the appropriate parental units. The kids at the preschool heard an earlier version and said "That's Horse!" but they haven't seen the video yet.
Please leave some likes and nice comments on the video if you can. I need some strokes, as my friend/boss has decided to leave the preschool and is kind of grumpy lately.

@TheHorse I was raised in Italy and so this would not be one of our songs.

@1hopefulman Ah. I lived in Italy for one year (I was four), but remember very little Italian.

I'm sorry about your boss being grumpy. One trick I use at the shop I work at is when people come in either grumpy or blue I give them one of my artist made teddy bears. My boss has a wonderful time "grumping" to them that I just go over and pick up a bear, peel off my price tag and give it away. He then shoots the customer who got the bear a wink and a smile. He thinks that I don't notice it, but I've spotted him doing it a couple of times.
I know I'm a bit far from you (Paso Robles) to do that, but you might find an inexpensive teddy bear to leave secretly on your boss's desk with a printed note "When you feel grumpy please hug me, I'll take the grumps away and give you a smile".
I haven't played the song yet, my husband is still asleep. We both had a tough night sleeping last night with the heat (it was over 100 down here at Nacimiento lake) and he had to get up for a medical test that he does at home (3:30 a.m. YUCK!) and I woke up worrying of course. Then I couldn't get back to sleep so I came out to do some myLot on the computer but no one was up. So I stretched out on the couch and got some naps in. Anyway when he gets up I'll play the song I promise. I have some grandparents who have places in my development here that might appreciate the song.

She is still myfriend, but a pain in the neck as a boss right now. All she talks about is what she perceives us to be doing "wrong." Once she leaves (in a month), I will take her on a short hike (one of our rituals) and lend her my ear.

@TheHorse OOPS, I thought you were going to say and push her off a cliff. Still even though she is leaving in a month, slip her a teddy bear (in secret. Leave it on her desk with the note) and wait for the reaction. With all that I went through the past 8 months, the greatest gift I was given was the gift of one of my teddy bears returned to me. I had given it to a neighbor who lives a few miles away and I had signed it and presented it to her during a rough time they were having. They returned it to me and that bear has been a very special friend to me. I have hugged and cried on that bear many many times over the past months after the fire. It has been a wonderful "friend" to me. Between being able to hug and cry on the teddy bear and then having Petey sit with me in the ruins of my home and let me hug him close and cry on him, which is pretty special for a cat, I managed to survive the disaster. I have a very long road yet to get a home and replacements for what was lost, but having Petey the cat and my teddy bear will make things much better.
Try slipping a small teddy bear into your boss' office with that note. I will at least bring a smile to her face during a rough period of time, where she is leaving all the little folks she loves and the co-workers she loves too. At least think hard about it. A small bear wouldn't cost too much.....

@BearArtistLady Hmm. My 9-year-old neighbor buddy has captured all but two of my teddy bears (the ones shown in the video).

That’s such a pretty song, but Animal House ruined it for me.
(That’s Stephen Bishop, BTW. You sign it so much better!)
