Any Artists Out There?

I have seen a lot of book lovers and writers here and I do enjoy those activities myself, but I am curious are there any artists here? If so, what kind of art do you do? Do you do it professionally or as a hobby? What kind of media do you work in and enjoy? What kind of subjects do you like to focus on?
When I was in college, I majored in ceramics. But I have also dabbled in numerous other things during my time there. These days I primarily do digital art and I find it great for relaxing. I can't say I am great at it yet, though.

I work with my hands. I write, I play music, I knit, I cook, I can draw a bit but not professionally. All of those are arts. I also sing and do theatre.

@things4gotten My favorite scenes to draw are mountains with snowy peaks and sunrise/sunsets.

@Starmaiden Sunrises and sunsets always have great colors. Do you use references from real life, pictures, or just make up the image you want to draw in your head?

Indeed they are! I have no talent when it comes to music, and I definitely cannot sing. Any time I start doing so people tell me to shut up or turn the radio up so they can't hear me. XD

What kind of paintings? I have done oil (which I realized I was not a fan of) and acrylic before and have recently considered playing with watercolor. Is there any particular thing you like to paint?

@Icydoll I used to do a lot of landscape paintings when I was younger. I feel a bit out of practice with that. Digital art has kind of spoiled me when it comes to sketching. Before I got my tablet that was primarily all I did for a while.

Its something you have spent time on and refined over the years even if people do not see it. Definitely still an art in my opinion.

Ah, oils. I have experience with them but in the end I realized they weren't my cup of tea. I do have experienced doing wall sized pieces and they always made my arm hurt! I would definitely LOVE to do a large piece again though.

water colors was one of the few classes I wish I was able to take when I was in college. That and life drawing.

Hi Nicole. Yes there are, but I happen not to be one of them. I would rather settle for books and paper.
