Turning down my social media accounts??

June 4, 2018 10:27pm CST
I really am confused if I need to delete some of my social media accounts like twitter or instagram. I feel like I'm becoming less productive. Yes, I have to discipline myself, and I guess the best choice is to shut them all down. What do you think guys?

@Christinedefensor In the end, it is up to you. Think about what you use them for. Do they still interest you? Can you do the same things on all of the sites? Can it be boring? Are they taking up too much of your time? It's up to you. I personally can't stand most social media sites. I don't see the point on having an account for all when one can be enough to do the same as the rest.

@Christinedefensor oh I hope that doesn't mean I just offended you?

True! Other social media accounts can also be so boring. Many people are entitled to give their own opinions even if they hurt others. Thank you for your advice! :)

I don't usually delete any of my other social media account knowing I have still friends on there. I just limit my time on using them and focus on what is important to me.

If you limit your time on these platforms it will help your productivity. You could delete them to increase even more or just discipline to 5 minutes at a time instead of scrolling for 2 hours.

Social network sites like FB are essentially time wasters. If you feel they're taking too much of your time from focusing on more important matters then you should delete your accounts.or the very least self impose a limit on the time spend on these sites.

I use social media alot because now in days people don't even interact with each other. Its healthy I guess to limit yourself. I use mostly Facebook and Snapchat the others I deleted

Allot a specific time for you to browse your social media accounts. Once that time is up, you stop browsing and go back to your normal routine.

It's your personal choice. I find instagram much safer than facebook so you won't see me on facebook but I haven't deactivated my account because of family. How long have you been on twitter and instagram to feel like that?

I earn using Twitter. It will be my loss if I delete this account. I don't have an Instagram.

I tried to delete my Facebook account and I found that so many other sites are linked to Facebook that I had to create a new account! However, I am not using the site for anything else. I have started to notice myself that I spend far too long looking at social media and I should and could be doing other things. It's a good idea to try and pull back from overuse, in my opinion.

I think reduced productivity due to social media has become an universal problem. I have faced it and I successfully worked on it. I have prioritized things in my life and social media is the last on the list. There is so much to do in real life than in virtual life that people live on social medias. Though I have not shut down on them, I have limited my time for them ..it is only 2 hours per week and that too on weekdays. I am sticking to it. I am not joining any more new of them.

I am active on all social media accounts, but i only use them when it is necessary of when i am free. I say you restrict yourself to a lesser time in social media.
