She's leaving....

Philippines
June 5, 2018 1:28am CST
It's been decades since Mom left for abroad, the last time she went to US and met our relatives. Then a few weeks later I learned that my sister in law with my nephews and niece included her on their trip to South Korea. This will be good for her she suffered asthma because of summer here for weeks. But a trip there would give her some sense of relief because it's cold over there. I can't go my passport been expired for years now and they only drag her along.

@Letranknight2015 I did not know cold weather was good for asthma. I always thought dry and warm weather was better for it. So, does she enjoy going on the trips?

Hello @Hannihar did you have any evidence that warm weather makes it better? Because this weather makes her asthma triggered most of the time. I will know when she gets back.

@Hannihar From what I've seen on my Mom and my nieces, the cold weather is more favorable to them. Like my youngest niece needs to be in constant air-condition if she has asthma. Well, they're just going to be there for days, I'm sure it would just give her sense of relief.

@Letranknight2015 I do not not know what is good for Asthma. I just checked and it said humid weather not good for it. Sorry, I guess I was probably wrong. I have chronic rhinitis and I am prone to bronchitis with an asthmatic wheezing cough and when it was humid here that triggered it but cold weather is also not good for me. I thought people went to warm climates for things like asthma but sorry I do not know. I just found this and not sure will help at al: There is really no such thing as the "best" climate for asthma since it's essentially allergens and then irritants that trigger an average flare-up. When you relocate to a new area, be it from the city to the country or the valley to the mountains, you may well find a temporary respite in your asthma, but you'll eventually encounter new triggers that are different, yet still on the same level as your former home. The better location to live is really a spot that you'll encounter the least amount of your triggers. But any doctor will tell you that the best place to live is your current home, just with the use of "good asthma control."

@Letranknight2015 Oh dear, that's a bit of a shame - but things have a way of sorting themselves out like that man. Sometimes just taking a punt on something impossible actually works out for the best. Don't worry yourself too much - she will quickly find her feet.
