Definitely the most ignorant president this country has ever had. Today during a phone call with Canada's Prime Minister, Trump was asked why he considered the country a threat to US national security. His response to Trudeau? "Didn't you guys burn down the White House?"
First of all, he was referring to an event that happened over 200 years ago during the War of 1812. Secondly, it was the British army, not Canada, that did that.
But people think that this moron is somehow "making America great again". He has no freaking clue. None. I wish I could say that I was making this story up but it is, sadly, true.
President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had a testy phone call on May 25 over new tariffs imposed by the Trump administration targeting steel and aluminum imports coming from Canada, including one moment during the conversation in

Well, I honestly don't know what to say to that. I wonder if he'll try to claim that he thought those who burned the White House Down came from British Columbia?

@NJChicaa During his campaign, I kept hoping that enough people would realize how stupid he is, how much of a racist he is, and how disrespectful he is in general. Now we are the laughingstock of the world and will go down in history as the country who elected the idiot.

You cannot call him an idiot when ISIS is almost gone. Black unemployment is at historical lows. There are more jobs available than unemployed to fill them. The stock market is on a tear. NK is talking denuclearization. China has offered 75 billion in US trade. GDP is at historical numbers, If Trump is an idiot we need more of his kind. If no one gets that they are either suffering Trump derangement syndrome or not paying attention. Not sure which it might be. But he's even more successful than Reagan was. My God people. Wake up. America is back.

@NJChicaa Not based on your response. But like I said, I am not mad at you. I am VERY engaged in politics and what you said suggested to me you might be paying attention to talking points as opposed to facts. I just won't engage in that. I am VERY fair on both sides. But I engage only in facts. When I praised Obama it was based on fact. When I praise Trump it is only based in fact. On the flip side I also chastise either side based on facts. You did not present any facts. Like I said, I am not mad. I just don't want to engage in rhetoric and false statements. Based on what you said it is clear to me you are not deeply engaged in this.

It seems very ironic that someone who has made billions in the business world can appear to be so dumb and clueless. I wonder if it is a negotiating tactic to get what he wants? I'm certainly not trying to defend him or his moronic actions, I just can't fathom how somebody who is so successful in the business world can be so clueless in the political world.

Hate to rain on your celebration, but....
"In 1814, during the War of 1812, the White House was set ablaze by British troops[32] during the Burning of Washington, in retaliation for burning Upper Canada's Parliament Buildings in the Battle of York; much of Washington was affected by these fires as well. Only the exterior walls remained, and they had to be torn down and mostly reconstructed because of weakening from the fire and subsequent exposure to the elements, except for portions of the south wall. Of the numerous objects taken from the White House when it was ransacked by British troops, only two have been recovered. Employees and slaves rescued a painting of George Washington,[32] and in 1939, a Canadian man returned a jewelry box to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, claiming that his grandfather had taken it from Washington. " - wikipedia
Now what was a Canadian man's dad doing with White House property? Simple Answer. Canada was a province of Britain. And yes, Canadians were employed as troops in the British Military. So yes, it was indeed Canada that torched the White House?.
Canada didn't exist you say?
"After the successful American War of Independence, the 1783 Treaty of Paris recognized the independence of the newly formed United States and set the terms of peace, ceding British North American territories south of the Great Lakes to the new country.[57] The American war of independence also caused a large out-migration of Loyalists the settlers who had fought against American independence. Many moved to Canada, particularly Atlantic Canada, where their arrival changed the demographic distribution of the existing territories. New Brunswick was in turn split from Nova Scotia as part of a reorganization of Loyalist settlements in the Maritimes.[58] To accommodate the influx of English-speaking Loyalists in Central Canada, the Constitutional Act of 1791 divided the province of Canada into French-speaking Lower Canada (later Quebec) and English-speaking Upper Canada (later Ontario), granting each its own elected legislative assembly.[59]
The Canadas were the main front in the War of 1812 between the United States and the United Kingdom." -wikipedia
"The name of Canada has been in use since the founding of the French colony of Canada in the 16th century." - wikipedia
"European explorer Jacques Cartier transcribed the word as "Canada" and was the first European to use the word to refer not only to the village of Stadacona but also to the neighbouring region and to the Saint Lawrence River, which he called rivière de Canada during his second voyage in 1535.[19][20] By the mid 1500s, European books and maps began referring to this region as Canada. Canada became the name of a colony in New France that stretched along the St. Lawrence River.[21][22] The terms "Canada" and "New France" were often used interchangeably during the colonial period.[21]" - wikipedia
"After the British conquest of New France (including ceding of the French colony, Canada) in 1763, the colony was renamed the Province of Quebec. Following the American revolution and the influx of United Empire Loyalists into Quebec, the colony was split on 26 December 1791 into Upper and Lower Canada, sometime being collectively known as "The Canadas", the first time that the name "Canada" was used officially, in the British regime.[23]" -wikipedia

Now normally I would agree with you on using wikipedia as a source, but in this case wikipedia has used actual sourced data for their article.
over 282 sources. That's pretty definitive.
Did you really use CNN as a source?

Maybe you should recheck your facts. I do believe it was Canadians that burned the White House....we like to think we did, even if we had some help from the British.
