How do you maintain a healthy body? Do you follow a certain routine, something like eat only when its time for a meal or when you feel hungry?

I remember a friend who told me once that in order that we won't be getting bigger then we must not overeat, aside of course from the usual exercise routines that we have to follow. How do you maintain the right weight for our body and maintain good health?

@LadyDuck That's good to hear Anna. Now that i am getting older i am lazy to do exercises. Though i do Zumba once in a while but it is not helping when you are not consistent. And i love to eat hehehe.

@chavezrmc Zumba is not something I would do, not at my age. Walking every day is a lot better than exercise once in a while. Our home is on two floors, I go up and down the stairs dozens of times every day, this is a good exercise.

@LadyDuck Yes you are right. Going up and down in the stairs is already an exercise. I would love to do walking too but seems i'm so tired after a day's work in front of pc. I end up lying down in a couch listening to news and doze off to sleep.

I stick to home cooked healthy meals at their regular time for most of the time. I drink lots of water. Have healthy snacks of fruits and vegetables and juices/ buttermilk in between my meals. I also exercise daily.

@arunima25 Yes it is the best to cook our own food. But if you are outside then surely you can't avoid going to fast foods or restaurant. I hope i can do exercises more.

@popciclecold I love to do exercise too. But i have to be honest, I am lazy if doing it alone. Before we do it with officemates but sometimes they are to lazy to go to the place where we do it. Till we finally stopped. Sad but I have to do it alone at home with my stationary bike .

@Shavkat I am too. Always combine the two meals. Somehow i don't understand why i don't feel good after eating breakfast. Coffee or any fluid that is warm or hot is enough for me in the morning.

@Shavkat No I am not. I am just used not having something in the morning except coffee or any hot beverage.

@chavezrmc I am not sure how I can help. Perhaps you can try another set of meals for breakfast. I hope you are not stressed about something.

@PatZAnthony I understand that. It means too that we can always have a choice to eat what we think is healthy for us. Being responsible for our health matters.

@chavezrmc We can all live without meat. It is just a personal choice. Life is too short to eat what you don't like and we don't like meat, so it is easy for us.
Yet we know some who eat meat every day b/c that is their choice.

When one of my kids at the preschool asked if I had a baby in my tummy, I decided it was time to get my girlish figure back. That's just an expression. I'm a boy. I cycle, swim, do some pushups and pretend yoga, hike, and play city league softball.

@TheHorse hahaha you're funny. But that can be a wake up call. Mine is when my office uniform and jeans won't fit me anymore. Surely i don't want to buy again.

@dya80dya I was also thin when i was younger until i reach my 45 years. I am still not fat though. Only belly fat hhahaha. But it doesn't make me felt good about it. Not for my looks bur what i felt. I am always catching my breath even if I don't do anything. So I know something is wrong.

Hello! I eat heathy food, like oatmeal for breakfast, veggies for lunch and a small dinner. I also have a workout routine and I do karate. I drink a lot of water (1,5-2l/day) and I try to walk everywhere I can. I don’t eat procesed food and I never drink sodas. I stop eating when I’m full.
