It is much easier. I have social anxiety and I'm an introvert so I can still talk to people without having to see them face to face haha

I feel comfortable interacting face to face rather than typing.

I am also shy... and social media helps a lot...and I don't socialize outside to meet or talk especially to new friends or people gosshh I'm a downer...if it would be a drinking occasion with friends...aahhh that would help keep my shyness away... he he......

Social media is easier for a lot of people. Some take advantage of it , by hiding behind the computer and can harass others.so good and bad can come of it.

Yes I do, but I feel it is important to have social interactions with people. I have been shy all my life, I am now 29 and have barely started to come out of my shell, by force. I wanted to be able to have connections with people through being social. Its still a struggle but it has been rewarding to see myself become more confident through my interactions with people.
You need to remember that no matter what happens, even if you look dumb, or think you look dumb, you're the only one who really cares if you look a certain way. People are always going to talk or judge, try to learn how to become comfortable in your own skin. I hope this may help you in your journey through life, my experience is the only advice I can give.
Social media definitely helps with many parts of being interactive with others. Its a good way to start relieving some of the awkwardness of personal interactions by getting to know others in a way thats comfortable for you.

I like to converse spontaneously and in real time, from person to person, and I not only like to talk but also to listen, and I also like online conversation because I can better control what I want to say and also express it with style.
