The whole world goes vegan?

I just watched this video on facebook - her name is Dear Alayne i think. She explained why she is vegan and all that. And I read a lot of debate in the comments section which was quite funny but also made me think too. I for one am not vegan, i don't think i will ever be since i like the taste of meat, i can never give it up. Also, vegetables are more expensive where i live. I also believe that we need a balanced meal to be healthy so we need meat, fruits and veggies. Plus, if the entire world goes vegan, there may be an abundance of animals in the world. Some people talked about artificial insemination, but i think even without that, animals can reproduce quite easily - seeing the dogs and cats in our place. Anyways, i think people should just agree to disagree about this topic. What do you think?

There was a time we went vegan because we followed the diet of my dad after he had stroke. No salt too. We got used to eating vegetables but when my dad is well again, we slowly went back to eating meat again.

@lady1993 That is true, Lady Di. I did not know it before as these things did not really matter to us before until a chef told us the difference.

i tried going vegan and it puts me in depression so I still eat meat, Most of the food i eat now are mostly veggies but I still eat meat. Veganism is not as healthy as Vegan propagandist claim. The people with the longest lifespan are Okinawans and Ashkenazi Jews and both ethnic groups are eats meat on a regular but on a minimum.

I agree, it is really hard to pinpoint what to eat to have long lives since there are a whole lot of factors too.

I am vegetarian but I think that we vegetarians lack a lot of nutrients in our body.

I agree that people should just agree to disagree. Whatever one wants to eat, eat it, but don't try to tell anyone else how or what to eat or not eat. It's kind of like driving a certain kind of car. Maybe it's the only one you like and the one that is most convenient and sensible for you, but that doesn't mean it's for everyone.

@lady1993 True. People are going to react and not everyone is going to agree. If they could just discuss it, but that doesn't seem to happen. Everyone is passionate about their own beliefs.

indeed, people should really refrain from posting about it in public though and not think that anyone will oppose them

I have been a vegetarian for something near 16 years and I wouldnt change that for the world. I havent thought much about the overpopulation of animals. If the whole world went vegan, I wonder if people would still enjoy to hunt as they do now.

I think people in my place's main reason for hunting is to sell the animals for exotic pets or other stuff

I don't think she mentioned it in the video, since her main topic was just Why she was vegan

The Vegans want to set them free which will be bad for the environment as most farm animals have potential to be invasive. Goats caused the extinction of Pinto Island Tortoise. Feral pigs caused the extinction of a deer species. Chickens can suck dry the food source for wild birds.

I'm not vegan but I know that plant based meals are healthier. I also know that the whole world cannot go vegan, if that happened, food chain would definitely be disrupted.

@lady1993 I agree with you that people should learn to disagree or agree on this subject. I also like to eat meat so am not vegan.
