The Ice Princess is Ten Years Old!

Thank you! She is very happy, especially when she hits that double digit. Lol!

Thank you, Kharla. We remember her birth like it was yesterday. Where did those 10 years go??? After therapy, the doctor will decide if her ankle is strong enough to skate again. She leaves for summer camp in a few weeks, so it better be healed!!!

@kobesbuddy We will have to wait and see what her orthopedic surgeon says. She's been very patient and understands. I don't think she'd need a year off. Kids heal so quickly. When she broke her heel on her landing leg in the fall, she was back on the ice in no time. Yes, kids always listen to anyone other than their parents. Lol! I hope Aubrey can stick with ballet. My granddaughter had to give up ballet and now tap dancing off Broadway for figure skating. There just isn't enough time in the day to do everything they want to do.

@DianneN She might have to take a year off, from anything strenuous on her ankle. Just to build up the muscles around that injury, not chancing another break. Aubrey started ballet last year, I hope she sticks with it. Already, they are speaking to these girls, about proper diets and eating well balanced meals. Her mother has tried to teach her, while speaking to a deaf ear. Now her instructor is saying the exact same thing and Aubrey is listening with both ears! lol

Thank you! It was official 6 minutes ago. She is now 10 for real. Isn't that teapot adorable. They certainly used service fit for a princess. They even had pink cotton candy on the tiered sandwich and cake plate.

@toniganzon There are so many cute teapots. Most of mine were gifts. I don't have room for one more teapot!

LOL! It seems that process begins earlier and earlier. I remember turning 10. It was such a big deal to me being a double digit number.

@DianneN that is so adorable! My kids usually get a full weekend for their birthdays but your granddaughter gets even more spoiled and I mean that in a good way. They are only little once we gotta make it the best for them

@DianneN It could be some time. I have never dealt with a human broken bone, but the vet told me to give Billy (goat) 2 to 3 months away from the other goats after removing the cast to give it time to bond together even more

@wolfgirl569 She will be devastated. She's going through therapy now and must heal up before she leaves for summer camp in a few weeks. I hope she and Billy will heal up just fine and be good as new.

Thank you! She is itching to get back to her figure skating, but has to wait for the doctor's go ahead.

@mlgen1037 The little princess is leaving for overnight camp on Saturday for 7 weeks. Her brother is leaving, too, for a different camp in a different state. I will see them both again on Thursday. She's well enough for camp, but has to finish therapy before skating. Thanks for asking.
