What Do You Dream

Do you often dream about the same subjects? I do. I dream of little children and babies. I suppose it's because I've spent most of my life with children. I'm the oldest of six children and have always had children in my life.
I remember shaking my first sister's bed when she was a little baby to keep her entertained while mama did housework. I remember sitting in a rocking chair and rocking my second sister when she woke up during the night. So I was a tender of children early in life.
I had my own children when I was young and after they were grown I had grandchildren. It's only recently that I haven't had young children around me.
Of course I miss them, but they have their own lives and I have mine. I have more than enough to keep me busy. Even so, most of my dreams are of babies and children.
What particular thing do you dream about?

My dreams are often about me on a journey with my children. When I am ill I get a different dream which can be a bit scary. I often wake up while sleeping and forget what I was dreaming about. Sometimes I day dream when I am on a plane going somewhere and it feels really relaxing for my journey. I wish you happy dreams.

For the longest time I kept having a recurring dream about having to go back to high school to finish a class I missed. That I had to quit my job and give up my college degrees because they were not legitimate since I did not technically pass high school because of the one missing class. Thankfully, I have not had that dream in a long time.
These days, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to remember my dreams when I wake up!

@RubyHawk They certainly are nerve-wracking, and I used to have them just about every night. Thankfully, I seem to have mostly normal dreams these days, if I can remember my dreams at all.

@moffittjc I don't have them often. Even worse is feeling like you're awake but you can't move. I used to have those often.

My dreams range from seeing my deceased dogs Wimpy and Hero, to driving autos on streets in Louisiana to jumping off buildings and dropping to the ground like I am in slow motion. My dreams happen if I watch a movie or think of something in my past.

As you, my entire life has revolved around child-care, from a very young age. I was my brother's babysitter, plus I took on babysitting jobs, quite often while growing up. As an adult, I had a licensed daycare home and worked at various daycare centers. Also, I did sub-work as a teacher's assistant, helping out with mentally challenged kids. Weekends, I had a Sunday School class. Children have been my entire life! I dream about my children! lol

@kobesbuddy I haven't worked with children outside the home but always with my children and grandchildren. Only recently my granddaughter has taken off on a life of her own.

@Kasjnak My dreams now are mostly recurring. They are about caring for little children and babies. Sometimes I'm trying to find food for them and it's always about something they are in need of. I dream about other things too. In these dreams I'm always in a panic mode.

I was thinking... what about recurring dreams? Once I had a dream that kept coming back over and over again. It happened for almost 2 years I think. Did something like this happened to someone in here? Mine was about an undefined danger, it always ended with a blazing sky.

@RubyHawk you love your children and you care for them very much. That's for sure . I'm not easily scared, but from time to time I do dream about real life and it's usually about my wife and my little boy. And I always have to overcome something, I must fight to reach them, to get them to safety or something like that. I don't win all the times and I wake up scared. But... they are just dreams, I kiss my wife and my boy and go back to sleep.

My dreams are... strange. I usually dream about other worlds, fantasy like things. Rarely about real life. Somehing like Akira Kurosawa's YUME. At times I have the same dream 3 or 4 times in a row. Other times I dream something one night and the next one it's episode 2, 3 and so on. And yes, the dreams in wich I'm flying are the best.
