That Was Loud

Hello everyone.
A very high pitch roar of thunder just let his presence be known. My initial reaction was to cover my ears. 
I was caught by surprise. I immediately look at my kids who were surprised also but did not put hands on their ears.
I look at the sky outside. No, definitely no rain as the sun is shining though in some parts there was a dark blacj clouds. Maybe the rhunder was for them.

@rakski It rained a little here but nothing much after. Great to know it did not rain there. Hope those who experienced rains are okay too.

I haven't heard thunder for a long time. Thunder is often heard in summer a few years ago.

This happens quite often in our area. I'm looking at the clouds like "You gonna rain? Or ya just gonna sit and grumble?"

@rakski Both. Some days we have lots of thunder with either no rain or the rain comes along several hours later. I believe its what they call a "dry thunderstorm" if there is little to no rain.

The thunder must have come from the dark clouds. I have heard them too when in the countryside

I love the sound of thunder. The loudest I have ever heard was in Rome. The thunder clap even made the policemen jump out of their skins. We were then treated to the heaviest rainfall I have ever seen and got absolutely drenched.
