TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE!

June 28, 2018 12:10am CST
Do you believe in that saying? To see is to believe! Some say in order for them to believe in one thing, one should see it first prior to believing it. Same goes with some who says that he or she will just only believe in God when they will only see HIM with their naked eye. But no man has seen God just as mentioned in the bible in the book of John chapter 1 verse 18..How can we believe in God without seeing Him? Consider the air for example...Do we able see the air when it's blowing? Definitely No but we believe in it...How about believing our Almighty God Jehovah? ( Psalms 83:18)

I've given up on religion not because there is no logical proof that "God" exist but because of the many church hypocrisy and scandals through the years. Now those are things one can believe in because as the saying goes, "To see is to believe".

Thank you for your respond and I do appreciate it @josie_ I understand you. Even in Jesus time here on earth as a man, He encountered hypocrisy or some hypocrites like the Pharisees, a prominent religious sect of Judaism existing in the first century C.E..so how much more today? These hypocrites are being mentioned in the bible as harlot because they pretended to have Godly devotion but they have alliance with political issues. You may also want to consider searching for a true religion..How? For example: today, fake money is very rampant. Are you going to focus to be familiarized with the fake money or are gonna look only for a sign of a true money? The same way, we can also find the true religion. In Jesus time, Jesus revealed those hypocrites but he also taught the true worship and true religion and until now this true religion is still existing. The question is, how can we know what is the true religion?

@Lil1FT23 _It may be true that many find solace and use religion as a guideline for how they live their lives. But it is not necessary to be religious to live a moral life nor does religion hold exclusivity on "truth" and enlightenment.

Most people have given up on religion josefina, you are not alone in feeling that way. It is truly understandable why many are leaving their religion and yet are still believing in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. It might surprise you to know that Jehovah God and His Son, Jesus Christ are THOROUGHLY disgusted with hypocritical false religion. The Bible book of Matthew chapter 23 shows Jesus BLASTING and condemning those powerful, hypocritical, arrogant religious leaders, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the Scribes of his day. Take note of how many times Jesus calls them "hypocrites" "white washed graves", "sons of vipers",, "Blind ones", "Blind guides", "fools and blind ones" (those powerful religious leaders were spiritually blind). Jesus called these arrogant, haughty religious leaders "Blind Pharisees". Jesus called them "Serpents and offspring of vipers"! Jesus Christ and His heavenly Father Jehovah God STILL feel the same way today about religion that misrepresents God's Word the Bible, and that misrepresents Jehovah and His Son Jesus Christ. They have not changed (MALACHI 3:6). Here are some of the same characteristics of hypocritical, arrogant, religious leaders in Jesus day and today during our time: (1) Jesus said those religious leaders do not practice what they preach (MATTHEW 23:1-3) Does this sound familiar today? (2) Jesus said they "bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men" Sound familiar today? (MATTHEW 23:4). Does this sound familiar today? (3) Jesus said those religious leaders of his day did hypocritical works only to get accolades from humans and wore garments that stood out from the ordinary (MATTHEW 23:5). Does this sound familiar today? (4) Jesus said the religious leaders of his day "liked the most PROMINENT PLACES at evening meals and the front seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by men" (MATTHEW 23:6-8). Does this sound familiar today? What a scathing confrontation Jesus gave against those powerful hypocritical arrogant religious leaders. Just remember, it's worse today in mainstream religion. And remember Jehovah God and His Son Jesus Christ have not changed their views of false or fake religion that does not honor His Word and God's name properly and accurately.

Hi Emmy. It depends on the situation. When it comes to faith, I believe it will but as human, we doubt. In business, one will want to see the outcome before investing or else your money will be gone.

@Lil1FT23 You are most welcome, Emmy. The very fact that I am alive, my loved ones are well and all those little miracles in my life. I do not need to see for me to believe. I can feel God everywhere, thru the people I meet and in my surroundings.

@Lil1FT23 well, it depends. If we are talking about God, yes. if another human being it will be depending on the situation.

Thank you for your answer and yes everything is possible if one has faith...However, is it possible for you to trust a person that you never know?

@rakski yes I agree with you when you said yes when we are talking about God..and thank you for you answer. If we can believe our Almighty God without seeing Him, do you think it's possible to draw close to Him?

"Seeing is believing" makes absolutely no sense. Everything that has ever been created, that has ever come into existence, was once only a concept, a thought, an 'idea' that someone believed in. Before you can see the chicken soup in the bowl, someone has to first "think about making it" and then make it. (Bring it into existence) Matter follows thought, not the other way around. There was a time when air travel for humanity was considered "Impossible" and those who believed that it was possible were ridiculed, persecuted and considered "crazy". That remained true for many milleniums...until the Wright Brothers had an inspiration, believed in it and brought into existence the first airplane. How the world of aviation evolved exponentially afterward. "Believing is seeing". When you 'believe it', then you will see it. Nothing is impossible when you believe in it with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength. Not even God. As the First Commandment says..."Love the Lord God with all of thy heart, mind, soul and strength...and thy neighbor as thyself."

I like your idea of the air. Well, I am always skeptical in discussion like this but deep in my heart I know there's a God but God is unfathomable I think.

It's just sad that people tend to fool every one and when you become the victim the only thing that mattered is that believing is seeing.
