Hello there. Today I would like to know the price of a mango in your country. It can be in single or grams or Kilo grams or pounds . Here in Japan, just a single pcs of mango cost over 4000 Yen,. thats 40$ . LOL. Its the most expensive fruits . Second one is melon. Mangoe They are sold seperately or in bundle, Bundles esp comes in 4 pcs wrapped perfectly like gifts. and it cost up to 20,000 Yen, thats 200$ . I dont know why they are so expensive here in Japan. In my country Nepal. I could get handful of mangoes like 1 kg literally cost around 150-200Rs. Thats 1-2 . I havent yet tasted the mangoes here in Japan, I can afford it but I dont know it makes me look silly to waste so much money for a single pcs of fruit.

Here the mangoes are about USD2/500g. It is one of the common fruits here and therefore it is not very expensive. I travelled to Japan last year and I know everything is expensive in Japan. I found the watermelon is very expensive in Japan because it is not likely to buy a whole one because of the price. I just don't feel enough to have a piece of watermelon.

Some of those mangoes came from the Philippines, Philippine mango is the sweetest in the world ( Guiness record holder). We seldom buy mango, we have our own tree plus if I like Indian mangoes, I just ask from my friendly neighbor when it's mango season

Yes. There are many types of mangoes, I dont know the difference though, I only know green are raw and yellow are riped . But I have also seen like red or blended red yellow mangoes, that particular are more expensive than rest.

That's a ridiculously high price. They are only a couple dollars here, though I haven't priced them recently, they aren't bad in price.

In india also it is not so costly. I think japan is not growing mangoes its own and it totally depend upon the import only thats why it is so costly. I think you need to try mangoes if you like it very much. If i will be there, i will definetely try it
