Just A Little Fun Question

All of us were new at one time. How are your notifications now compared to when you started?
When I started blogging on the other site I won't name, I had about five notifications a day. It didn't take long to go through them. It was then I searched out the tabs looking for things to read and started gaining friends. It was the same when I came to myLot. Almost. A lot of my friends from the other site were here too, so my notifications were better than five a day when I started here. Still it isn't anything like it is today with my more than a hundred notifications when I wake in the morning and get started here.
How is your comparison? How long does it take you to get through your notifications?
Thanks for reading.

Since I slowed down my activity on My Lot, I'm getting between 35-40 notifications in the morning. I wasn't online for one entire day, last week. When I came back, there were about 50 notifications to do. Everything has slowed down, since I'm not as active.

@kobesbuddy How are you anxious being here? Or is it the time you put in here that makes you anxious?

@just4him I use to come here, to rid myself of anxiety. Now, I stay away from My Lot, to rid myself of anxiety:(

I think that I'm happy, not too many that swamp me and not to few that I'm bored.

Usually, when I get on here either in the morning or later I go through all of my notifications first and make responses, Then I start to read discussions and like and comment. Before I get off I always put in some posts. Then of course, when I get back on here it all begins again.

well my notifications have grown because I have been reading more posts than I had been before.

If you are referring to notifications in mylot itself, you can have a lot of them but many might be for the same thing. Like if someone likes your post and that person also responds to it and, maybe even tags you, you may have three different notifications but it will be for the same thing. And you may have a lot of those. So, in essence you don't have as much to respond to when it seems that you do.

That wasn't what I was referring to. When I first started blogging, I had maybe five notifications a day. I didn't understand how it all worked. It took time to understand that interacting brought more notifications. Now, when I wake in the morning, I have as many as a hundred or more notifications. Yes, many are doubles, but even so, whenever a person reads and comments on a comment, you still receive more notifications. As a newbie there weren't many, now there are a lot more.

My notifications build up overnight - while I am sleeping - and I usually clear them first thing as I get on Mylot in the morning. During the day when I am here, I answer my notifications as they come in - and before I go to bed. That way I never have as many as 100 to deal with at one time. Those that come in during the eight hours I am asleep could be from thirty to sixty, depending on whether I had posted a discussion during the day.

I clear mine out every day, and by morning I have anywhere from 75-135 depending also on what time of the month it is. I had a nice amount I could easily deal with until the last week of the month when everyone showed up to try to get their payout. Which I've already earned this month.

I don't have a lot of notifications I thnk it's because I always go through them before I go offline

My notifications are also proportional to my activities. The more I comment or interact, the more notifs I had. They don't pile up though because I check them from time to time :)

If I have time, like I do at the moment, I'll check back more than once, but usually I'm only here until my notifications are finished on the first run through.
