$40 Baby Sits For Three Days?

I just got this message. I was asked to baby sit three days and three nights straight. We supply food and drinks to the kid. We have to pick him up on 1st day. Pay is $40? Is she a joke? I love kids but if a parent is underestimating me? I am sorry but the answer is no. It is harder to take care of kids than elders. Just because I am nice that doesn't mean I am dumb?

@Ladanger She will pay $40 for 3days/3nights. I will feed the kid. I will bathe the kid. I will put him to bed. LIke I am going to be the caretaker then I will get $40? She told me, others always feed her son. OK, I don't work for free. If she asked me beforehand to take care of the kid and say she don't have money and she needs to go find a job? I might do it, but paying me $40 when I cannot do my own job? Shot the front door!

Taking care of kids all day/night is a huge job - I would have said no to $40 too! About 15 years ago, a fellow mom I knew in our apartment complex babysat another baby from the complex, along with her own . . . I told her she was insane for doing it $25 for the entire week. When she finally came to her senses (after a year of this), she finally told the other mom she can no longer do it . . . I can't believe those parents were furious! They moved away from our complex and was actually counting on the $25 per week so they could live in this more expensive place. I don't know what people are thinking - some will really try to take advantage!!

I know, right? I will not let other people take care of my child. I know it is hard. I know because I raised my two brothers since birth, I was hands on. I was like their mom. My mom was working then. I don't know? If I didn't know her situation, I might understand. But, I know her like I KNOW HER!
