What's for lunch?

A day well spent. Went out for lunch with two of my close friends. It was a new place and we were given a welcome drink made of raw mangoes and pani puri. We decided to go in for fish in mustard sauce, mushrooms and corn, dal and rice. For starters we had fish fingers and paneer tikkis.All this rounded off with caramel custard and a sweet made of carrots. It was fun catching up. Friends and food make for a great combination .

I love going out for lunch with friends. As you said, friends and food are a great combination. Today I will be having some grilled chicken on a green salad.

@responsiveme I have a favorite Indian restaurant near the office. The food is great, service superb not to mention the free Indian movies they show on a big monitor. One thing I noticed, there's always dancing and singing in the movies. hehe

@sol_cee those are the box office crowd pullers...There are two types of movies here the dinging dancing type and the other genre called art movies. Recently though actors are doing both otherwise there were two groups and now we also have good entertaining movies without the inane songs and dances

(yum yum...) I was told that foods has played a great part in social gatherings for centuries now. The parties which have foods in abundance, are often the greatest parties ( since people are too busy eating and enjoying the foods that they forget to bicker with each other .)

If the cuisine is good, and the matter that is being discussed is serious...don't you think tempers would not flare, simply because nobody would want to leave the table without having eaten well?

@vandana7 I only notice that people always gobbled lots if the foods were good, and forgot about everything else UNTIL they finished - That was when the arguments came out... (In most cases, they argued then the men found some corners to sleep off!)
