I got so mad!

I live on a terrace of six houses, which is one of two terraces coming off a narrow cobbled street called Chestnut Avenue. When I get any kind of delivery, if it isn't delivered by the Royal Mail then the drivers invariably go to 6 Chestnut Avenue instead of my house.
This is pure laziness, and that's why it gets me so mad! They've got my address, yet they choose to go to a different house.
I'm waiting for a safety gate today and I haven't even dared leave my living room because if I do I won't hear the knock at the door, yet a couple of hours ago I got an email saying "sorry we missed you, we'll try to redeliver tomorrow"
It took me ages lying to the automated customer service options just so I could get through to a human and explain the situation, because I won't be home tomorrow and even if I was, the driver would just make the same mistake again
The woman on the phone said she'd send a message to the driver and hopefully they will be able to come back today.
I really hope they do because I need my safety gate as soon as possible!

I can understand why there's a bit of confusion because my address is down a tiny terrace on a very small street, but that doesn't stop people from reading the address I have a lot of sympathy for the ones who try to find my house but can't and they end up ringing me, but when they just choose to go to the wrong address so they can move on it drives me mad

Couriers must love trying to find your place. They'll have hundreds of parcels to deliver before they can knock off for the day and are spending half their time wandering up and down cobbled streets. Which are a bugger on the feet with the wrong shoes on. If it were me, I'd shove it up quckly up your back alley and be gone before you could shout "customer satisfaction"

i just give the address of certain station to them if i buy something online and i don't need to waiting for the delivery at home throughout the whole daylight. the delivery men will text me if it arrived. then i go there and get my delivery at anytime. all the service is free

That's sometimes an option here but in this case it wasn't

Thanks I'm waiting for it again now, as long as the driver goes to the right address this time then I'll have it by the end of today
