My daughter is sick

This week my daughter has been ill, started complaining with sore throats on Tuesday, on Wednesday began to have fever so on Thursday I decided to go with her to the emergency room. The doctor made her a test to check if it was a bacteria that caused the sore throats, as the result was negative, he send her home with paracetamol and ibuprofen. He told me to go back to the emergency room during the weekend if she wasn't better soon.
As she is still having high temperatures every 4/5 hours even with medication I decided to take her there again this morning. In Portugal we used the Manchester triage and the nurse who first saw her gave her a yellow bracelet which means that my daughter should be seen by a doctor within an hour. The doctor who saw my daughter just refused to make her a new throat examination or any other type of test to check if it is something else and besides she is now complaining with belly pains and even higher temperatures than before she sent her home without any new medication. Now she is having high temperature again and as it is weekend I can only take her to the emergency room or private hospitals
Maybe I will go back there later when new doctors will be there, if they make her a new examination and the result is positive for bacteria I will make a formal complain about the doctor who saw her in the morning.
Picture is her at school making an invitation for me

Bless her. It is such a worry when they are ill. I think you're right to keep taking her back but I can see from other posts that she is a little better. Lots of hugs from across the pond for her

@bunnybon7 yes, it is but it seems that if it was a bacteria tonsillitis it is worst.

As a mother, you know more than the doctors do when your child is ill. I'd try to bring down her fever by putting her in a tepid bath and let the water cool down. Our doctors suggested it and it worked with our kids. Of course, keep her on the meds. Keep checking her temperature and if it gets too high, rush her back to the doctor.
I hope she recovers quickly.

i hope your daughter is given antibiotics because fever for 4-5 days is already alarming. i hope it is just viral and i hope your kid will be well after taking her medicines. it is better to be sick with a virus than a bacteria, in my opinion.

I would do the same thing. So thag they will do their role better. I had this experience before that I have been to 4 different doctors because I always feel dizzy and I sometimes vomit as well. None of them checked if I am pregnant or what instead they prescribe medicines for me to take for gastroenteritis. Sadly I lost the baby.
