Happy Sunday Everyone!
I wasn't here much yesterday as I had a rare day when I spent most of the day away from the house. It was nice to escape for a change 
Today I'm having company for dinner and I decided to go with a teryaki beef in the crockpot so that the house doesn't get hot with the oven on and different from the standard barbecue this time of year. I'll keep it simple, serve with broccoli and rice.
For dessert I'm making a cake...all vanilla with vanilla frosting since my family is mostly vanilla lovers. I might make a batch of brownies too just to have a bit of variety. I also have a nice chilled watermelon which I cut up earlier so everyone will have a choice as to what they want for dessert.
I know this day will fly by so I don't know how much time I'll be able to spend here but I'll pop on and off as the day goes by.

I am getting ready for work. Need to leave in forty minutes. So far I've eaten lunch and put mascara on. Lol.

That sounds like a nice change of pace meal-like you said grilled food is great, but a lot of us have it more often then not. I'm sure your guests will love what you're making.
Speaking of grilling, we're having grilled filet magnon for supper, with mushrooms, baked potatoes and multi coloured carrots. I bought some pull apart bread seasoned with rosemary and thyme, and was going to do a bit of a bruschetta with it, but my husband reminded me that rosemary gives him a headache. So, no bruschetta for supper tonight.

It's nice to get away from the house once in a while. In fact, some of the weekly grocery shopping I do is just to get out for a bit...although I do get some amazing deals and I tend to my shopping based on what's on sale where. As for spending time on MyLot, this has been a touch and go month to be sure.
