A visit to Nepal... The only country on this planet which was never invaded

Just came back from Nepal. The country is still upbeat even after the devastating earthquake. And I can safely say this is the cheapest country I ever visited. A hearty meal just costs $3-4 and the local food is delicious. Loved the momos. The goods are generally made in China but I guess that is the case for 90% of the world.. everything is made in china. One of the issues over their was people have very limited understanding of English which can sometimes cause you a bit of problems but overall a very nice place with abundant beauty and nice people.

Oh its way cheap. For Indian travelers there is no need for visas nor do they need to convert their currency.

I love to visit a cheap country because it is affordable. It is very sad that Nepal suffered a devastating earthquake and it is wonderful they got some money from tourists like you visiting it. I would love to visit Kathmandu and Pokhara. I saw a friends photo album of a trip to Nepal and it looked amazing. I am keen on visiting more of Asia.

Absolutely delightful places over here. Chitwan is also a nice place to visit in Nepal. I can safely say it is the cheapest place I have been to. You will love it.

Momo is a dumpling but smaller in size filled with buffalo beef, pork, chicken or vegetables whichever way you prefer. It is steam cooked and eaten with red chilly chutney. You must visit for sure, it is one of the most cheapest countries on Earth.

LIved there for ten years. People in general are friendly. Momo was my favorite too though I also liked thuppa and chow-mein. you're right in saying the markets are flooded with Chinese goods, but you can also find Indian products plenty. I also used some south-east Asian things. Common villagers may not understand English but English medium schools, which are many, are helping young generation to learn, read and write English.

Thukpa and chowmein are nice too. I found very limited Indian goods however it might be easy for them to get Indian goods as the Indian currency is also in circulation in Nepal.
