I stopped and get another book but it brought me to tears.
The other day, after reading "The Night Circus", I decided to change the mood on what I am going to read next. For the Nth time, I grab "Tuesdays with Morrie" but I become teary so I stopped.
I opened my book box (I haven't decided where to put shelf yet). Khaled Hosseini's "The Kite Runner" was on top of the pile and I get the book and started reading.
After a few pages, I get so emotional again, why?
Maybe I was drawn too much on the book or the author is good at each word.
Or just being emotional as I get older?
What do you think?

Yeah I think I'm having that kind of feeling now a days.
But as of the moment I am also contented with what I have in my life.

I tend to get emotional from books especially if the author has drawn me into the story and the characters are easy to relate to. That's how I know it's a good book. The Night Circus is on my want to read list.

@morgoodie hauntingly beautiful, painfully written and it is hard to put down

@Lucky15 I think so. If it makes you emotional, the author did their job.

It's not just about getting older Reine, it's the hormones.
You will get extreme emotions a few weeks before your period arrives. And when you are nearing menopausal stage, that can heighten too.

There are books that make me sentimental and books that are just interesting to read. If the author is really good he can get you into the world of the book.

You are able to connect well with the story.
I don't get emotional while reading books but I feel so helpless when reading about the reality of our world and how heartless we are though there are great acts of kindness to compensate them - siva

I might get into tears if I read it, because I am too emotional too!

Maybe you are just an emotional type of person. Haha. But seriously, reading books is really will start one's emotion. I used to love reading novels then and some made my eyes becomes a cloud too. Sadly, due to lack of time, I can't start to read one.
