Well I didn't need ID

Our Very Stable Genius President said last night that people need ID everywhere to do just about everything except vote. He said that you even need ID at the grocery store which tells you exactly how many times he has gone grocery shopping. (read: zero) This morning I went to the gym, went to the doctor, filled up the car with gas, bought myself a bagel sandwich, and bought a prescription medication. Didn't need to show ID for any of it. I was going to really push my limits and go to the grocery store but I didn't want to take the risk of being deported. I just can't with this man.
The president made the false claim during a freewheeling campaign rally in Florida.

Perhaps he was referring that you need to show ID when paying by check at the store which I know for a fact. But I doubt anyone pays by check these days. However at my local Dollar Tree, I am always asked to see my driver's license when using credit card.

I must visit my Dollar Tree too often. They no longer ask me. But there's a liquor store in Berkeley (where I buy cigs sometimes) that used to before they became familiar with my face.

I doubt that’s what he meant. His thoughts aren’t that nuanced these days. No one ever asks to see my ID when I use my credit cards.

It's a stretch, but I partially blame Obama for not keeping his nose out of the Trayvon Martin incident and the Clock Bomb Boy incident. Some people in the "middle" were tired of Political Correctness.

@TheHorse I agree...I think that's exactly why he was elected. Many seem fed up with old style politics/politicians and wanted a change and to be fair to Trump he's tried to do what he said he would.

Will this be a law he hopes to pass? I have to show my photo ID to pay my phone bill! I asked the dude taking the payment; "Who else is going to offer to pay my bill??!" I didn't have my ID on me but I do have a screenshot of it saved in my phone. I showed him that.
