That is to say, I feel like reading one. Which is why I am on goodreads looking through their lists. I've found a couple that sound intriguing, but I'm not quite sure yet what I'll pick.
What novels written about or in the Victorian Era have you read?
This is the list I am looking at :
226 books based on 580 votes: The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber, Fingersmith by Sarah Waters, Possession by A.S. Byatt, A Great and Terribl...

@LadyDuck As have I. I joined goodreads years ago with the intention of keeping up with all I've read. I haven't made good on that at all.

I feel like I have read, or have wanted to read that one before. That definitely seems like something I would read.

I know there have been some but it's too early and my brain is too tired.

I can believe it. My brain doesn't "wake up" until atleast an hour after I've gotten up. If I am getting ready for work? Forget about it, I'm not functional until an hour after I've started my shift.

@thislittlepennyearns I used to work as a banquet server. There were times I had to be up at 3 am to leave the house by 3:30 am. Working 4 am to 12 am shifts with only meal times in between.
Of course, that also meant that I'd have two weeks off of work in between.

Victorian Era or just any era not our own?
I've read books set in other era's before but I am more picky about those.

I'll take another look at the list eventually. I'm sort of getting into the thriller style novels since it's about that time of year.
How many of Jean Plaidy's books have you read?

@BelleStarr Oh that's great then. I love reading historical fiction and then comparing it to the reality versus what the author took license on.

Oh I suggest that you read books by Victoria Holt. I am an avid fan of her books. Some of the books I've read and enjoyed :The Road to The Paradise Island (Philippines was mentioned here),The Snare of the Serpent, The Night of the Seventh Moon, The Indian Fan. She also writes under the name Philippa Carr. Please read her books, hahaha.

That list is about the Victorian Era. But I have read and loved some books written in the Victorian Era. Check online the author Florence Barclay. Her books can be read for free in the Gutenberg Project.

Lessee -- I like Elizabeth Gaskell, Anthony Trollope, The Brontes, for actual authors who lived in the Victorian period. What's your tag on Goodreads? I have quite a few lists there.

You mean my username? I'm pretty sure it's "somecowgirl"
I really need to get on goodreads and update what I've read. I have read sooo much more since I've last updated it.
I've heard of Elizabeth Gaskell and The Brontes, but not Anthony Trollope. I'll look into all of them though.

I love using goodreads to find books, it's a pretty expansive database.
