We Move in Two Weeks

It's been a horrible summer but at least we can see a light at the end of it. As far as I know, everything that needs falling into place is doing so... but it's been nerve racking. I don't think that I ever want to move ever again. I know I always say that and then hubby is offered a transfer to somewhere interesting and we agree to it. If it happens again, we will just rent. Actually, it's kind of funny, because we can't remember much about the house that we just bought. We have a few photos, but then we look at what is offered and we don't remember seeing the main floor laundry room or the basement bathroom. It was a whirlwind day of looking and the one that was empty seem to fit the bill so we bought it. We were running out of time... Should be interesting walking through it to see exactly what we bought. Unfortunately, it's in a different province and we can't nip over for a look!

Oh, what an adventure. Once I had a friend who moved to our community. Her husband was offered a transfer, he accepted, bought a house without her seeing it, and that is the story of how she lived there without a fridge for a while, and then with improvements made now and again and her kiddo was a great friend to my kiddos.

I can't imagine moving and living in a different city at all.

@Hate2Iron Sure it is! But we own our business in this city and we don't see ourselves moving somewhere all the time. We have moved from different houses too many times but same city.

Good luck with the new home and I hope you like it. My family will be moving within the next month and a half too, but not buying, still just renting at the moment. I've gotten the packing started though. I hate packing last minute and will only wait on what I have to.

Thanks :)... We really wanted to be in the country again, but it didn't happen, so this might not be our last move... the next will be a rental though... so much easier!

Moving is always stressful I think. My sister is downsizing big time shortly and has had to get rid of dozens of items.

This really was one of the most stressful moves ever. And we definitely seem to have fewer boxes this time... so maybe we did too.

Thanks so much. I think that we just have to get there and settle in.

Didn't you take with you a digital camera and snap photos? It would have been useful to plan how to place your things once you move there.

Moving to a new home can be quite hectic. All that packing and unpacking. I hope you like your new home.

Most of our moves have been simple and straight forward. This is the first time so many things went wrong.
