A little corner of my childhood died today

I have always said that when the telephone rings after midnight, it can only be bad news.
Sadly I got one of those midnight calls last night and my nephew shared his grief and tidings of my dear sisters passing. A little corner of my childhood died today - called my sister Shannon.
My eldest sister, my BIG SISTER and my favourite but now she has moved on to a heavenly pasture.
It has been a long night waiting for dawn to break ~ for the world to wake, and the sad tidings that must be sent to the furtherest parts of the world to cousins and extended families.

Am sorry for your loss. It's hard to form words to another person when the loss is so great. Prayers and hugs to you and yours. I wish you and your family happy memories to take you through this difficult time.

sorry to hear about your loss; my condolences.
It is true that when we lose someone dear, it seems as though the world is slower, it can even get confusing at times and we just think of the good times we have had with the person we lost. I am sure you will remember a lot of these good things. My prayers with you and your family.

I can feel that ... I have somebody who is like my little sister. We have had family differences...she has been incommunicado until recently. I love her...but dare not go overboard fearing that differences would resurface. Letting go is tough...because that is a relationship you want badly.
Love is tough...and in this case I am the older sister.
