Do persons turn more impatient when getting ill?

A woman went to the emergency department, because she felt not well. As usual, there was a long waiting time. Always the same problem, too many patients ill at the same time and the medical stuff needs time to get all sorted out. That lady, tired to wait until getting the attention she needed, took a decision. She produced fire in the emergency department, where near to 200 people had to be taken out of the hospital and transferred to other centres. This fact happened last Monday. Since then, that women is arrested. Are people really unable to wait turning impatient when we are ill?

@Meramar I'm sure she wasn't thinking about the consequences.

@just4him She should have done, but sometimes we live extreme situations which may drive us to act by a normally incomprehensive way.

She did it without thinking about what she was doing!

In my opinion this woman has mental problems. This is not a matter of not having patience, what she did is a criminal act.

That's why she will be judged. She already has been in the court and has to return.

This lady is a "nut case", not just impatient. She risked a lot of lives doing that and she should be punished severely. How can anyone trust her now?

That's right, we all are impatient once in the while. But, this act is not justified.

Maybe. She must be very depressed and it turned out to be another problem because she was arrested.

Yes, it is a big problem for her now. But, it's too late to change the decision she took in an act of desperation. We have to learn to think clear (or slowlier) in those moments.

Of course, she didn't think about what she did. Afterwards, when it was already done, she said she didn't want to act like this.

Yes especially when you are really feeling sick. It's hard to wait when you are not feeling well at all. But I wouldn't resort to such a thing that woman did.

They didn't say why she felt ill (what she suffered from), so we don't know if it was really serious or not. I suppose, if it was something serious, they would have passed her instead of keeping her waiting.

That was a really silly thing to do. However it is awful to be ill and have to wait for ages for attention.

That's right, nobody wants to feel sick and for some it's like a waste of time.
