I went on a bit of a myLot break last year not long after we got two Burmese kittens. As a result, you've all missed out on incessant posts about Milo and his sister Daisy. But don't worry, I'm going to put that right now.
This is Milo Rocky Blue - all cats should have middle names, that way we can speak to them sternly when they're naughty!
Milo is a 'blue' Burmese.Fortunately both the UK and US standard name colours are the same for the blues - but let's be honest, he's grey. It's just breed nonsense, like white horses always being called 'greys'.
Milo is about 18 months old now. He's the neediest, naggiest cat I've ever met. The moment he is awake - usually about 4 am - he wants all his friends to be awake too, so he bounces into the bedroom and jumps all over us, purring frantically.
He has stunning cheekbones, massive ears like a bat, and the charm of George Clooney and an ability to make friends wherever he goes.
This is Milo in my hammock. I spent two weekends training him to jump in and stay in - and I was really impressed when he joined me of his own free will.
So please say 'Hello Milo' and he'll send you a purrrrrrrrrr.

I did not know cats could be trained. Now I know. What else would you want Milo to do. He does look handsome, Blue is a rare colour for a cat.

Trained? Well I'm not sure I could really claim I've trained him. I just kept picking him up and holding him in the hammock until he got used to it. I'd like to train him to wait a bit longer before he jumps all over us and to be a bit more aware of other cats as he tends to shove his brother and sister out the way to get to his humans.

I come from a country that doesn't have Milo. But when you see Daisy in a day or two, you'll understand why everybody from Milo-drink countries thinks she must be Milo.

Hello Naomi, I like black cats. My big brother is a black cat and he's really cool. I'm sure you are too.

He's named after Milo Minderbender from Catch 22 - the wheeler dealer - and Milo the hero of a kids book called The Phantom Tollbooth. My husband thinks he's named after a puppy we met on holiday because he's not read either book.
