I have the impression that some myLotters have 9-5 jobs and interact only after office hours, weekends or any spare time. But I have the feeling also that some have no 9-5 job.
Actually that is my dream to be quit my 9-5 job and enjoying my interests/hobbies and simply enjoying the day rather than couped up in my office desk.

@yoalldudes No, I would never want to go back to the day job structure. It's much easier and more natural to work when and where I choose. You're right in that freelancing doesn't really have a retirement age. I say I am retired because I don't have regular clients or jobs to be done any more, but I do work a little now and then.

I read that people who experience being self-employed or free lancing never want to go back to day job again. Enjoy your retirement. Although freelancing doesn't have retirement age isn't it?

I noticed that I can express myself more now. I hope it is a sign I'm improving. But when I receive rude comments, I feel some anxiety and experience a setback.

@yoalldudes just open your mind about rude comments, accept and go on... it might help us grow more.

I don't have a 9-5 job and I'm not looking for one. I am a full time freelancer and blogger. I set my own hours.

I worked as special educator and counselor till July. But as mom in law has not been keeping well for some time and I also got some health issue off late, managing things were tough. So I am on a break going twice to the school in a month for conducting Parents and Teachers workshop. I am using this break to do things that I like- art and writng. Since I am at home, you can see me coming here in between regularly. When working on my articles, I keep one window open for myLot and keep visiting it.

I own my own business, and sell from home, on eBay and Bonanza etc. My husband has a Full time job but then when he comes home when we are not at Church, with our Rock painting friends, or with family a lot of our time is spent out there delivering food for Uber Eats. Then comes time to spend on here if I can

I am a senior but I did give up my 9-5 job at the prime of my career. I later started a business designing and executing landscaped gardens.

@yoalldudes I don't have a job at the moment but will be glad when I have that all sorted. I will still be here when I get a job. More income, the better.

I wish i could quit now. But i have to think of my family first. Still need a steady income as all my three children are still studying - ages 11, 13 and 14.
So, will still keep this 9-5 job for now. Retirement age here is 60. I am now 49... hhmmm...
