agree with you on this. Communication has become very cheap because of the internet. it also has allowed people to be more close to each other via video chat.

@hereandthere oh yeah, very expensive indeed, and with the skype or facebook messenger or viber or line, we can do a lot of things while we are talking with them. just like we are talking to them in person except we can't touch them of course.

one of the best things about the internet, really is this thing! the ability to be able to do research, find answers, get information just by being online and by using only our phones or laptops.

@chiyosan ~I prefer to use my desktop because of the bigger screen and keyboard but find that I use my cell phone when discussing stuff on MyLot because it's easier to add pictures. I use pictures or clipart often to add something extra to my discussions.

wow! you sure have maximized and has put the internet to good use. I think with the internet, its biggest contribution indeed is giving jobs to people even if they cannot go outside their house and are skilled. For most who are stay at home but takes care of the family, having this opportunity helps them a lot with finances too. =)

Oh! good you mentioned about online banking. :D you are right! online banking made it easier for a lot of people to transact at their own home. paying for bills has never been this easy, right? you just need to transfer an amount, and that's it you are paid and no longer need to go to the bank and line up! :D

@chiyosan And you don't need to check up the opening time. You can do online banking at any time!

Hi there nicola! thank you for your response! students are so lucky today because of the internet. it is powerful and so full of sources and a lot of research materials. students just need to know how to verify and validate their research but its really there!! =) And of course for families and relatives to talk to each other even if they are miles away from each other. I think the internet is so great because the calls have become cheaper cross country and it has also become convenient and really easy to connect with our friend wherever they are. :D

true! a lot of free media is on the internet as well. =) we can watch anytime, and even if we are stuck in the traffic, we can watch shows. :D

hehe before when you want to see a location, we rely on photographs taken and published on magazines, and or from travel guides printed; now we can search for them and have many sources and they are all so informative.

@allknowing true!!! =) so convenient, i imagined if this was during my time before in school, i would have really made wonderful researches. :D

@mesbakh that's right. hehe i think i was at this point last time. always online always on sns only to realize that is not the best kind of life i want. so i lessened my online hours.

hehehe you mentioned about shopping online, and i have done this myself. i sometimes am disappointed with the item i bought online, but most of the time i am satisfied with it. plus i just wait for the item at home delivered to me - no need for me to go out and pay for taxi and well, carry these items myself. Also, Because of the internet we got lots of contents like those in netflix, even Korean dramas, or movies in sites that are free for viewing. I enjoy these benefits myself and i don't have to pay for movies that is very costly for about 2 and a half hours only. =)

@chiyosan I totally agree with you.

We are same, I love to read too, this is the first of my reasons that i love internet so much - back in the days i have collected more books digital than in physical because of internet. though i am unable to read them all but i keep them and put them where i can access easily so i can read them whenever i can.

oh now that you mentioned, i thought right! we can now even do shopping at home! =) some thing that we never could have thought possible years back are really happening now. =)

@Lumartz hahaha i guess so, but how to tell if we are overusing the internet? :P People are like connected with it almost 24 hours a day, and if they are not online like my niece, he seems as if he is itching and can't breathe. ah he is so addicted.

That's right!!! =) internet has made communication very easy for a lot of people who wants to connect with their friends and family wherever they are and whenever they need to. :D As for the income - that is also one of the best things about online - the opportunity to earn at the comfort of your home. Its amazing.

a lot of us here has been using the communication tool internet has brought us. =) it is easy to use, intuitive like for viber, fb messenger, and similar apps - its free as long as you have an internet connection. We can talk to our friends abroad because of this capability. I really think the internet is man's greatest achievement.

ohhhh that is a good one. Especially for others like me who is not good at some things; i always go to googgle or youtube when i want to verify things, or if i want to search or read about some things. :D

thank you so much for the response, i do agree with you. this is why i do not have a lot of memberships too because most online sites do not cater to our country too, especially for surveys. So i also do not want to spend a lot of time then it will be wasted because they are a scam.
