Beggar asked me some money to buy food, so, I gave her P50 but she asked for more and got angry to me when I said "I don't have enough extra money left in my pocket and I have to buy medicines for my colds" . I hate that kind of people!
Why other peole cannot appreciate what others give to them? they should be thankful in the first place.

Wow the nerve of that beggar, I think that she does not deserve the money you voluntarily gave her. I certainly admire you for giving that much already, I usually give lower than that. I think that the beggar you met is not in her sane mind already that she has forgotten the word gratefulness. I have seen a lot of beggars that are not mentally healthy that they lose all the manners they have.

Thank you so much! But the beggar I met was really mentally and physically fit. She just so lazy! I gave money because I felt pity of her child and suddenly acts like that. So sad

@Sammilita I guess that she just have some attitude reorientation. Maybe poverty has taken over her attitude already that she lost her sense of gratitude

I agree. Some people don't have the ability to be grateful.

@Sammilita yes, because if you told her that, she'll realize she's lucky to receive 50 instead of 20 because 50 can already buy you 1 cup of rice and 1 chicken or pork dish from any food stall selling cooked food.

giving money to beggars (who say physically look healthy, also children) is not educating so if they know you give them more than others they want more. That's the same as indulging in laziness. That's the same as giving fish, not a fishing rod. Not helping them to think independently, it will actually plunge them into a lifetime of dependence.

A demanding beggar! Oh my.
If it were me, and I'm in a bad mood, that beggar would have received a lecture from me.
I am secretly thankful for the law that says we shouldn't give to beggars. Gives me an excuse to not give (I will get fined!). Not that I'm being heartless, but some of them are abusing the kindness of others...
