How MyLot will help me make about $40.50 today!

I received an email from someone interested in my $40 Realistic loudspeakers while I was in Montana. I had them listed on Craigslist. Because I have no internet at the cabin, I received the email at the library in Lewistown. I told him I'd be back in about 10 days, and contacted him when I got back.
I tested the speakers yesterday (they work fine) and will meet him at the Chevron station in Orinda today at 11:30 AM. Hopefully, I'll be $40 richer and won't get murdered and sliced into little pieces by a Craigslist killer.
Wish me luck! Would you use Craigslist to sell things if you lived in an urban area? So far, I've had no problems. Since I'm dealing mostly with fellow "audio geeks," I usually invite them to my house. But this fella is coming all the way from San Francisco.

@LadyDuck , Thanks for reminding me of that "peaceful" song. Such a long time ago, brings back a lot of good memories.

@JohnRoberts I made it home. Gave him the speakers and he gave me two twenties.

@TheHorse I assumed every locality had set up a Buy/Sell/Trade page like our town has. That means only people in our town who have liked the page would see things posted for sale and can also scroll through the listings. Anyone buying anything does the picking up so if you're selling something you don't have to leave the house.

So, is this discussion here a "In case you never hear from me again."
?
Not quite sure how "mylot" helped you earn, unless the person is a mylotter, but spotted you on craigslist?

@TheHorse Oh okay, I see. I somehow have managed a little over $7.00 this month.
Hopefully your buyer is a nice, respectable guy and not a secret craigslist killer.

@Adarshsoni Um, yes. I'll let everyone know if I make it back safely. I'm taking off now.

I've never used Craigslist but have used Kijiji, mostly to give away things, but bought a rain barrel from there earlier this summer.

i usually use my local paper to sell things..craigslist around here seems to get a lot of timewasters that don't show.

@marlina Because I deal mostly in vintage stereo gear (and occasionally elite guitars), most of the individuals I meet are well-heeled and forty or above. No ruffians. I always talk to them on the phone before I agree to meet them.

I have never used Craigslist for anything with the exception of applying for a job once. Never doing that again.

@TheHorse I went on an interview but it seemed it had something to do with modeling. If not the position then the company. Though don't remember as it was years ago. And it was in a weird location too.

The internet can be useful to sell products.

I've used Craigslist to sell things a few times, although I usually offer to meet the buyers in a public place rather than my home.

@TheHorse It separates the serious speaker shoppers from the folks who just want to rob your house.

Hope your sale goes smoothly (and safely)
I never bought or sold anything on Craigslist but I know it's popular
