Hope you had a good rest. Most of the time I read for pleasure - and Phillipa Gregory heads the long list of favorite authors that I have.

@amadeo My favorite type: Historical fiction and romance. Mostly about life in the 18th and 20th centuries - and about kings and queens from the 14th century down. Some I have read include 'The Other Boleyn Girl" "The White Queen", "The Constant Princess" - and many others.

I have been an avid reader since the tender age of 5. I remember the first book I ever owned was titled "Le Vilain Petit Canard". (The Ugly Ducking) Now read mostly history, bios and some business stuff.

Your attitude is good. That should help you. I do read for pleasure. Most recently I've been reading Doyle short stories, many of which I've already read. Sherlock Holmes, you know. I enjoy following his reasoning.

@amadeo Glad you got some rest. I love all the authors you mentioned. I have read others too that I like and only one name I can remember and that is Ken Follett. I am finishing the 3rd book to his triology now. I read to relax and also enjoy reading different books by authors I have never heard of. I have made lists for when I go to the used bookstore to get more books by them but do not bring the list with me.

@amadeo But I have had always wanted to complete a SALMAN RUSHDIE novel.. But reading his novel needs you to have dictionary by side because you won't be knowing the meaning of 30 words in one page of the novel...

Hope you are feeling better after the blood transfusion. Your sunflowers look bright and so do you. I am avid reader and read both fiction and non fiction. Now a days I just get enough time to read some education related and psychology related books as my job calls for that. Not getting time to read for fun.
