What have i been doing with my life?

I checked, I don't have a life insurance.
I checked, My savings does not even reach half of what I should have to retire and live comfortably at age (x)
I am single at my age.
I have a work, yes but I still can't afford a lot of things!
And Seeing how others have - especially if they are younger than I am, or my age - HA! What the heck happened?
Ever have one of those days where you just ask yourself... what have I been doing all these time with my life? I could have done more, saved more... enjoyed life more????

You can still achieve those things; just think positively and do the right things at once, especially saving for your retirement. I also have some regrets about things which I should had done during my youth.

@ramapo17 So sorry to hear about his short life. I do agree with you on this, life is so short, indeed i mean i just need to take a break for a while now and gather my resources until my next trip =) still have one coming along in october and after that i need to stash for next year. haha :D with the attitude that we should maximize or seize the day! =) thank you for sharing!

Hello Acela! Thank you so much for your response I think you said it right. We still have time, there is still so much to do but I still have time. I agree, me too. I have had quite a number of regrets but i guess i can still go ahead now and still catch up (if that's how i should put it.) =)

Hi Deba! I have, for the most part of my life always am focused on myself, and i rarely do care about the lives of others, i dont like to compare and always thought that we all have our own destiny. Its just that even doing so... i also have sometimes thought I might not have done enough for myself because in my standards, i should have this, or that already.

I think if you keep thinking like that, you really won't enjoy life to the fullest. Just learn how to live within your means and learn how to be happy living simply.
Comparing your status in life with others, will only make you depress, when you see that they have more than you. So, just go on with your life and be happy and thankful you have a job.

Hi Nancy! I was actually talking to a my college friends right now and I think its just that they are all saying the same things too - they are also trying to enjoy life as it is. I guess in the past i have not thought of saving up for a certain goal or travel. so maybe I can do that soon =)

Hi May! Haha actually this morning I woke up thinking, well I still have time - I can still save up and do this, and do that. I know there are still a lot of time to save up and enjoy life. I should just well, enjoy now while also thinking about tomorrow.

@chiyosan Maximize today with wisdom, realize that the time we have is so short. Because if we realize how valuable the time we have, of course we will not relax to think of something that has been missed or something that will be present tomorrow.

That's true, sort of a slight panic came to me and i started computing as to how long i think i can still work and earn me some money, and then realized that oh... I still have this much time and if i save this much, i will have like x amount... hehehe Got me computing and thinking and planning yet again for my life.

Thank You Lucinda! :D I agree I think with this attitude, I got to where I am today. I still feel I am luckier than a lot of people my age, actually and have less responsibility. Its just one of those days you feel ah, I could have done more, or I could have saved more, etc.

@Starmaiden Oh... I guess you are right, Maybe sometimes I am focused on what I want for myself and that I should really just go and carefully think of what I want to do for others too, like my loved ones and so on.

Oh! you did. Thank you for sharing! I hope you get to enjoy your job and have fun while earning too at work. I am relaxing I had a chat with a friend and it seems all of us are headed in the same direction anyway. Its like we took the "living life" in our own definition.
