Don't Like Her Gifts!

She did it again!
I was about to take my morning walk early yesterday morning but it was preempted by what I saw at our front door! She gifted me a snake again!
It is still moving and looks weak; though not so big and long, I still dread seeing a snake! I peeped at the window and saw her playing with it; she laid down on the pavement and catches it with her sharp paws when it attempts to escape or strike at her! She's so agile and smart!
She's my cat, "Kamuning," who always wanted to give me gifts that horrify me!

Cats love you so they bring gifts for you, it's their nature. I get cat videos with interesting tidbit if information about cats. That's how I understand your cat that loves you.

She had been a good hunter; she's a feral cat that I adopted and she's good at guarding our house against snakes!

I have always been very afraid of snakes. Fortunately, my cat doesn't go out. I really don't want her to bring me a snake.

She was just outside the house; she sleeps at the garage or at the small rug near the front door, so she brought that "gift" there at the front door presumably to show it off to me when I go out.

We live in a subdivision where there are grasses on vacant lots; and there is a big vacant lot with tall grasses and bushes outside the periphery of the subdivision.

Nothing quite like a cat's affection. We only have Garter and Green snakes here. Both are pretty harmless to humans and rarely bite. They eat a lot of pests.

Yes, she's the one, Kamuning who tore our window screens just to get inside the house. And I do not want to touch her now because she played with that snake! She needs a bath!

@acelawrites It would be hard not to worry that she might tackle a bigger snake. Hopefully she is smart enough to know her limits.
