Well, the Ber month is fast approaching.
I guess it is only in our country that gets so hyped up early for Christmas
As soon as September 1 starts, some people put up decorations, other start selling them, and others do Christmas shopping too.
It is a bit weird, but also fun, since everyone seems livelier too in these Ber months.
When do you feel the Christmas spirit?

It's way too soon to start thinking Christmas.

Not until December but I like how your country does it. I would love that.

I haven't had the christmas spirit for so long. My kids are adults now with their own lives to live. My oldest spends christmas with her inlaws. Both of my parents are gone now and my siblings are scattered throughout the country. Coming together at christmas is difficult for all of us. I normally spend christmas day playing my favorite christmas song on my keyboard.

Mine starts when the cool breeze starts to be felt in. The Christmas season indeed last long in our country and could even last till the first week of January the next year. We seem to enjoy this one that as early as September we start to remember this occasion and last as long as it can.

@lady1993 I have been doing it since 1998 with a few years left out and while many come from the same place I have invited other groups as well kids, mentally challenged and seniors from an old age home.

Personally I feel it's a bit disrespectful when All Saints Day and All Souls Day ( November 1 and 2)has not yet passed. The earliest we consider decorations is after we had paid respect to our dearly beloved by visiting and cleaning tombs in the cemetery. I don't feel comfortable decorating and making merry before these holidays has past just to be honest.

@lady1993 that is true, its not a time to be sad but a time to give honor and remembrance. It's also time for the living to have some bonding.

My great-aunt decorates her house before Thanksgiving. I think that is too early. I usually decorate after Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving).

I can't wait to do some shopping for Christmas. We usually put up the Christmas decorations after All Saint's / Soul's day.
