How often do you update your resume?

Whenever things change or only when searching for a new job? I need some overnight projects so I think I will take some time to do this tonight while at work. My job is the type where you wait for business to roll in rather than having continuous projects. Which is good and bad. Good, since it allows me my own projects and things. Bad, since it drives me crazy when its slow. I havent touched my resume since I got my new job this past February, but it wouldnt hurt for me to update it because I will probably have the time later this evening/mornng. What about you? When was the last time you updated your resume?

I am retired now, I do not update it anymore. When I had a resume I updated only if there were changes.

For me it depends. New skill learned then new update to the resume. that's how I see it.

There is no fixed interval at which I update my resume. I update it just before appearing for an interview.

I have never had a resume, although I have a wide working experience in the sphere of education. I prefer visiting a headmaster for a small talk. I have never been rejected because all headmasters understand that I am a good specialist without any resume Do not want to waste time, I think it would always need updating

I got my first job through the help of a friend so I never submitted any resume. However I created my resume few days ago and applied for a state government job. No plans yet to update my resume except I am done with my skill training.

I haven't updated mine for years. Resume needs to be customized for each employer, anyhow isn't it?
