The Wikipedia defines a nerd as a person seen as overly intellectual, obsessive, introverted or lacking social skills. A geek someone mainly interested to discuss computer-related tasks, giving great attention to technical detail. I am none of the two.

Not a nerd, neither a geek. I don't know what I could call myself.

I would say a nerd is more bookish and a geek is more techy. I am a bit of a nerd..but not very techy.

I don´t think either word defines me. By all means I am not a geek in the definition Anna gave here. I could be a nerd in part, but I am social so that would not fit me either.

@amadeo Wearing glasses gives you a choice ..to look nerdy or to look like a geek. Without it you cannot be either...that is the sad part of the story.

@amadeo All his friends were nerds, so he didn't mind. He had the last laugh by getting into every college he applied to and even some he didn't apply to!

I can`t say I am either, if I had to chose which one was somewhat like me it would be nerd because I am not tech savvy anything!

You look very handsome Alfredo and not a geek or a nerd:) Myself, I alternate between the two, depending upon who I'm with at the time. When I'm with my friend Diane, I'm definitely 100% a goofball! lol We laugh until we need to hold our stomachs!

I like your thinking. I think they are very similar. Why make one choose? I am both. But I prefer the word 'eccentric.' It just sounds more noble I think.
