Jammed in lift

Last Saturday I was heading to my office at the 9th floor. I was alone. Suddenly the lift got stuck and the light and fan in it went off. I pressed the alarm button and also ringed the phone in the lift, unfortunately no reply was got. The time on other side was going late as I had urgent works to be dispatched. About 25 minutes I was in this lift jammed. When I came out it seemed as if were out of some long journey and it was great relief. Have you ever been jammed in lift…

I was not stuck in a lift, thankfully you got out sooner. I would be terrified if it happened to me.

Oh no, I don't like to be jammed in a lift. When that happens there's the alarm button indeed and of course you can call for a friend or officemate to inform maintenance.

@SHAMRACK Yes, when the power is off, you will indeed cannot use that alarm button. It's time to use your cellphone to call for help.

i've never experienced that. that would have been quite scary for me. I've seen many movies where they got stuck in an elevator but i do not think i can do what they did to escape

I have never been stuck in a lift nor would I want to be. I have a phobia of closed in spaces. I will take the lift when I need to, but if the doors won't open or the power goes off and I get stuck, the entire city block will know it.

That is a challenge, luckily you are still safe. I have never been trapped in a ladder but hopefully that will not happen to me.

Seems more better technology has came and even if the back is gone the life continues to work. But apart from all these I feel safety is most prominent and if not avoid installing those which is danger to life.

Some of my friends got stuck in a lift for long. I hope you were having proper ventilation then. Lack of ventilation could be a more serious problem at times.
