Should we ever give up hope?

Life can become very difficult at times. A disaster may come up suddenly on us. We might not see any way out of a bad situation. There may be no light in sight. Should we give up all hope?

Do you always hold on to your hope? What is your source of hope? How can you build up your hope? Where would you go to get hope? How important is hope?
“Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Hope can make us endure any situation. Even in the darkest night, the stars are just on the other side of the clouds. There is always hope if we hold on to our hope.
Here is some important scriptural advice. Romans 12:12 King James Version “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer”
Is all hope ever gone? Is all hope ever lost? There is never any need to give in to despair.

The morning always follows the night. The sun always shines after the storm. The spring always follows the winter. The bad days will eventually end and there will be a better tomorrow on the horizon.

I do live in Hope. I have seen rock bottom so I know things can be bad or good. I hope for a better day tomorrow , everyday.

@andriaperry Yes, we can be confronted by some very tough times but hope is always there. We just have to take a hold of it!

Yes, hope gives us drive to accomplish things, Those who lose hope, give up and don't accomplish or achieve too much and lose a lot in the end.

If we all decide to love each other, like a big one family, there will be no problems anymore, we will take care for each other, all for one and one for all, I think that's what the world needs. Love is really above all.

Life is stronger than many things. The will to survive and stay alive is stronger than givving up hope.

@CarolDM I sorry to read that. I read some of your discussion about dreams, I read between the lines that you miss your child very much. If there is an upper world out there, I hope we can experience that world somehow and reunite with our loved ones.
You must be very strong. Is there anything that can help you ?

I think hope is the only thing that keeps a person going through really tough times. We need a reason to keep putting one foot in front of the other a reason to believe we'll make it through very scary and worrying times and that is hope.

We have to be realistic about life. No doubt that life is hard at times and we could give in to despair if our hope is weak but hope goes beyond this life which is temporary.

@1hopefulman There was a time, I thought having a pet would help. Well, having a naughty one for some months, made me change my mind in a big way. I got more grey hair during that period (after chasing after that kitten, tried to clean up its mess!)
