Are You Looking Forward To Better Times Ahead? Why Or Why Not?

Before I came into an accurate knowledge of what the Bible says about the future, I had very serious doubts about the future being bright and happy. But that has changed, how about you? Are you looking forward to the future despite what's going on around you?

@Nickzter1331 "Professional adult" ? I take it you are a young person? So you have a desire to be an experienced grown-up right? Is that the next level of your life that you want to reach?

I actually like to think about the present instead of thinking about my future, although I think my future looks good.
The reason is because I'm a proponent of taking life one moment at a time.

@MainerMikeBrown thank you for responding. I too believe in taking life one moment at a time. However, realistically I think about the future and what it holds out. Before, I had no idea of where mankind was headed or why there was so much SUFFERING in the world. I must admit life is pretty precarious these days.
The weather with hurricanes, tornadoes, firenadoes (which is pretty creepy and weird), mudslides, wildfires, floods and the like have many people wondering what this world is coming to? Humans inability to prevent these natural disasters can be very discouraging especially when lives are lost as well as one's property, precious memories and keepsakes.
Also, what about mass shootings that take away one's loved ones and friends? Terrorist acts like this take the desire out of some to venture outside their own home. How very sad. It seems like no place is safe to go to; to enjoy yourself with friends and family. Things are increasingly and progressively getting worse (MATTHEW 24:12, 2nd TIMOTHY 3:1-5 and verse 13).
Yet despite all the natural disasters, despite all the badness, I am still very optimistic about good times ahead and I am still very optimistic about a wonderful future ahead for obedient mankind based on Bible prophecies that have been fulfilled, are being fulfilled and have yet to be fulfilled (PSALMS 37:37, PSALMS 37:29, PSLAMS 37:10-11, REVELATION 21:4-5).

Of course there will be good days and bad days, but over all, yes I look forward to great things to come!

I appreciate you saying that we all will have good and bad days, but like the words of a song said: "The sun will come out________ tomorrow, tomorrow, if we just hold out, til tomorrow", in other words, things will eventually get better. I never factor God out of the equation when it comes to talking to Jehovah God about my concerns and about things that are on my heart. And yes, I too, look forward to better things to come in the very near future.

Your comment @Shavkat, in part, reminds me of a Bible verse found at 1st Timothy 5:8 which says: "Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith."
It is very commendable that you are working hard to support your family and to give them a decent home and environment while looking to the future. For true Christians this verse all the more so has meaning, because not only must a true Christian provide the necessities of life such as food, shelter, clothing and other needed material things, but also, the husband or head of the household is strongly admonished to provide for his/her family in a spiritual way (Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4, Deuteronomy 6:-9).

@itslikethistome Thank you for sharing the words of God. I felt bad for those people who had changed because of money. In reality, the money had controlled their lives and forget their family. That's what happens to my evil relatives in my father side.

@Shavkat You are very welcome. And thank you for your reasonable and interesting responses. In the Bible at 1Timothy 6:9-10 it talks about how the love of money can ruin a person (spiritually, emotionally, mentally and even physically in many cases). Families and close relationships have suffered because of one or more individuals having a deep love for money and material things. That's why I love the Bible because it teaches us as families and individuals, how to be balanced when it comes to material things and money and how to be content with just the necessary things in life.

I am just hoping that our nation returns to our Christian way of life. If I have to pass away serving the Lord, then so be it. I can only hope that our political leaders do not sell us out to the New World Order during my lifetime.

Realistically, based on the Bible, worldly political nations do not have the ability to create a better, happy future for everyone, because those running the show are imperfect humans with many flaws and shortcomings that effect those that they are suppose to be serving. The Bible never said true peace and happiness will come by man's hand (Ecclesiastes 8:9, Jeremiah 10:23).
I appreciate your wholesouled sincerity. And many like you and I desire or wish that Christian qualities was a character of most people. The good news is; is that one day in mankind's coming history the whole earth will be filled with worshipers and lovers of God. Notice what ISAIAH 11:9 says concerning the future and what it will be like one day soon: "They will not cause any harm or any ruin in all my holy mountain, because the earth (not heaven) will be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea." Right now, this is not the case because there is so much suffering throughout the earth.
Soon one day in mankind's coming history, there will only exist one Government with universal laws that everyone earthwide will live by. This Kingdom/Government is heavenly based in the hands of Jehovah God's appointed king and son, Jesus Christ (ISAIAH 9:6-7). See KJV :)
Also, the Bible lovingly warns us not to put our trust in humans (PSALMS 146:3, JEREMIAH 10:23, JEREMIAH 17:5, ECCLESIASTES 8:9).
