I know I like shoes and I have a few pairs that I really love. Not really a collector like my sister is and I'm far from being "imeldific."
But, my son? He's crazy over shoes and every single day I see him go over what's the latest release in Nike online and Adidas. So two weeks ago when he saw on twitter that Kanye West is going to have his Adidas Yeezy drop on the 21st, he told me he was going to get it by hook or by crook. He even got a one day advance pass to buy on the website! He told me it was cheap. $220 cheap!
Now he's just waiting for that shoe to arrive.
Are you crazy over shoes?

Glad he is happy to get them. But I never spend over 20 for shoes.

@LadyDuck Have you heard of Chirara Ferragni? Because I just ordered a pair of slip ons from her and it's more than 300 pounds. It's made in Italy.

@toniganzon I like leather shoes and when I go to Italy and I see a nice pair of shoes that go well with one of my dress, often I cannot resist.

It may be stupid to you, but to someone who loves shoes, they could even spend $1500 on a single pair. And someone like you would never understand that.

@amadeo It's not showing off. And if that's the way you see it then it's your opinion. But it's his passion like I have my own passion and I'm free to spend the money on something that makes me happy.
You said it's not stupid to you but you said it in your response that it's stupid. so I don't know exactly what you mean.. And I don't know where you're going with that too.

No. I don't spend too much on shoes. I would rather spend on clothes and makeups. And yes, food, maintenance medicines, and some things for the house (like curtains, bedsheets, paintings, etc)

@freelancermariagrace I've never tried those but I've heard of them. I usually stick to products I trust so that would be those that I've mentioned. The Balm is another brand I like as well.

@toniganzon I love MAC and Benefit too. But they are expensive. That's why I am trying some local brands like Sooperbeaute, Sunnies Face and Colourette.

His shoes are more expensive than mine. He gets some of those from his Uncles and Ninongs. I allowed him to get this Yeezy coz he's been eyeing them for years already and he couldn't always get a pair because it's sold out in just a few hours. But this time he was able to get a one day advance pass before the drop date so he took advantage of it.

I remember when I was that age and I wasn't really into clothes or shoes at all. But I was into watches.. And I still am until now.

@toniganzon Haha, I wear Nike shoes but I still don't pay that, my daughter is into clothes to. My friends son who is the same age as my daughter is really in to clothes also. Things have really changed because when I was growing up clothes were the last thing 13 year old boys were worried about. Speaking on my daughters age because I do not know how old your son is!

Not crazy about shoes. But I like to splurge on a few good brands that promise to stay with me for at least 2 or 3 years. I have big preference for walking shoes that look like Mary Janes and the usual pair of driving shoes.
Your son is very much like my cousin. He spends a lot on basketball shoes (particularly Adidas) and peppers his Instagram account with photos of his shoes. LOL. Well, he saves his own money for those so that's fine.

When it comes to basketball shoes he prefers Jordan or Kobe by Nike. As to his porma shoes he goes for NMD and this is his very first Yeezy because he couldn't get a chance to buy them at the previous drop dates because they are sold out in an hour. But this time he was able to get an advance pass a day before the drop date. Kanye really knows how to market his shoes very well. To resell those shoes is very expensive too. I saw here in the Philippines online that some are selling it at 20,000 - 25,000 pesos.

@almostoveryou Yes because it's being sold exclusively. And he watches out for announcements from Kanye of when the drop dates of these shoes are. He usually goes for limited edition ones including the Jordan shoes. The colorway can actually make the shoes more expensive than the normal ones. He knows almost everything about that and he's just 14. During dinner this evening he told me that Michael Kors bought Versace for $2 billion. He's updated with those things.

Converse aren't really that comfortable but I like them too. But the last pair I had was back in college. My son has one pair of converse, he's 14, but he hardly wears them.

@frenki Converse is more famous for skaters here. But when it comes to running, walking or basketball shoes, it's either Adidas or Nike.

"Imedlific." That's hilarious. Isn't it horrible that the woman went down in history known for her shoe collection?
To answer the question, no. I have the pair on my feet, a pair to wear in the house, and a third pair that I bought because it was a "buy one get one 50% off" sale. That's it.

Right, he has been dreaming of having a pair of Yeezy especially the limited edition one. I told him several times before there are a lot being sold here and only for 500php but he would never ever buy a fake one! I was just teasing him. He can really tell a fake pair from authentic ones because he knows exactly when the drop dates of those shoes are and all the styles by Kanye West.
