So I’m just here waiting for my milkfish cuts to be fully fried, wondering if you guys from other countries have tried this or not. Or, if you guys even know if this dish exists.
Actually, this is my first time making this dish. Since I’ve been living off take-out fast food meals and the ones served in our office pantry, plus the occasional trips to thw restaurant, I haven’t tried cooking new dishes for a while. In the last month, I have resolved to cooking pork steak, Filipino style of course, and IT. WAS. DELCIOUS. So then I thought, why not try cookung fish instead of pork, you know, for “health” reasons? (My reason mostly is built from my never ending desire to cook - it relieves me of stress)
So here goes my first Bangus (that’s how we call it here in the Philippines) Steak. If you guys wanna try making this monster of a dish, I can share my recipe. Fellow Pinoys, care to share your own recipes as well? Would looooove to learn something new. ??

I think I can do that. Lemme see if I can post the recipe here. Might be a separate post. :)

I have just posted my recipe in a separate thread. I’m not a recipe person so I wanna say sorry as early as now haha! Tell me if you’ve tried it. :)

Is it fried cooked or inihaw milk fish? I had eaten a few of it days ago.

Anything called milkfish sounds delicious. I'm not very good at cooking fish, though they sell wonderful fish here in Japan. I sometimes buy shark steaks and cook them in olive oil with salt and pepper.

It IS delicious. Trust me. :)
Yeah. I’ve seen documentaries about the fish industry in Japan. I’m not sure but I recall that you guys have the biggest fish market?
We have a distinct way of cooking steaks here in the Philippines. We use a lot of soy sauce and calamansi and onions. Yum! Hope you can have a taste of our version. It’s best paired with hot white rice. ??????
